Transport

Post by shaniepoo »

Myself and 'Big Time' Tony are after a lift to the torni if there is one going.

We are in Lancaster but can travel to Blackpool, preston or Manchester as far as picking up spots go.

If you can get to the east coast i can pick you up on the way down. But it's gonna be a full car.

I have ithilkir (The fat bloater!!), and Ewan(What with his big head and all, seeing as he is now head of "Impact Miniatures"!!!)

Could be a squeeze!

I know Max and I will be travelling down, but the car's a coupe with only a passing nod in the direction of pretending to have back seats. Can get a third person in the back no problems, but a 4th will be too much of a squeeze (especially "big" tony :o ). If you are stuck for a lift near the time then let me know and I might be persuaded  to take the motorbike and let you two blag a lift with Max (it's OK, he doesn't read here often so he won't know anything about it!!)

If transport is still a problem you could try the train...

£38-60 return Lancaster to Nottingham

Suitable train times include

Sat AM

Dep Lancaster 05:20
Arr Nottingham 09:10

or

Dep Lancaster 06:06
Arr Nottingham 9:30

SUN Pm
Dep Nottingham 18:07
Arr Lancaster 21:24

Dep Nottigham 19:08
Arr Lancaster 22:26

I used the train last year and GW is not too far from the station...

East coast might bit a bit to far for us. Thanks all the same Hoomin.

Wouldnt want to put you out mate, it's not far that we kick you out of your lift.

We are looking to travel down on the friday and come back sunday. If needs be we will just get the train and have a drink on the way 8)

I wouldn't worry too much about it - if the weather's fine then the amount of persuation needed for me to go by motorbike is virtually nil.

How BIG is big tony?

Mainly because autoroute says that there is only about a 10 mile difference between the west and east routes.

Also, we're travelling down friday afternoon, and back up monday morning. If Ewan and Ithilkir are ok with it, we could squeeze 5 in.
