Lending teams for NAFC 2014

Post by sann0638 »

Morning all!

I have a few ideas brewing for NAFC 2014, including encouraging online players to go. As part of this, I'd be happy to lend any of the 24 teams to an online player who wanted to come but didn't have the figs. Can you post here if you would be willing to do the same, with an indication of which teams?

Cheers,
Mike

I think this is a great idea. I havent played TT in years and after playing Cyanide I repurchased a new copy of BB from GW.
Im thinking of going to the NAF Championships but Ill only have the choice of Plastic Orcs or Plastic Humans.

Great, you are target audience! Have a play around with the different races, and just get in touch nearer the time once you have settled on one. Look forward to meeting you.

I think Ill get some Orcs painted and bring those, is there any standard they have to be painted too. I have the Army Painter Starter Set and Inks Set. Im not a great painter but can field a tabletop standard team.

I think three colours and easily identifiable is the standard :)

skill rings can also be useful, have a look on thenaf.net under resources.

In most cases people will settle for easily identifiable.

Most tournaments do not stipulate that figures must be painted on the other hand though most opponents would expect to have at least had a go (even then most would be polite enough to not mention it if you turned up with undercoated models with base rings). The biggest critic is normally yourself, what would you like to see opposite you?

Three colours and a wash take you a long way and sounds like you have that covered :)

Thats what Ill be going for. Black undercoat and a nice neat base colour scheme, followed by some drybrushing textures and washes for the shading. I have 32 Orcs so plenty to experiment with.
