ok guys, juste a question:
At this date, there is also a big French Tourney: the NDC
and they warned a long time ago about it..
Is that possible for you to move the date a little bit or no?
they are truly confused with the date of the Eurobowl and it will be a hard choice for some frenchies to choose which to go... And also for foreigners that could have come to their tourny.

I officially withdraw from this year's tourney... I'm not sure which special needs inbred chose Blackpool, but they need their god-damned head examined...
why not Bognor Regis FFS?
morons!

The northern inbreds wanted it in Hartlepool!Norse wrote:I officially withdraw from this year's tourney... I'm not sure which special needs inbred chose Blackpool, but they need their god-damned head examined...

I think this is an over-reaction and speaking personally I hope you'll reconsider. The venue is a school in a quieter area of Blackpool (next to a load of nursing homes, so Norse you can come along and have a good old moan with the biddies there ). You'll be spending all day in the school (or nursing home), and the evening in a bar or restaurant. I don't know when you'll have the time to see "Chernobyl"
Blackpool was selected as a location due to:
a) 1 hour by train from 2 major international airports
b) an abundance of accommodation from £15 per night upwards within walking distance of the event
c) low cost venue
We are catering for ALL comers, and don't wish to exclude anyone on the basis of cost. If you don't like it then you can always stay in Liverpool (capital of culture 2008), Manchester or anywhere else nearby and drive in each day (about 1 hour travel).
Apologies, but to all the nay-sayers I think you're being petty.

The decision was also based a lot on cost and we liked the school that we had in Germany so wanted something similar. Hosting it down south was an option but that would have doubled the price per person at the very least.
Though I too was initially a bit reluctant I've been converted totally and can see it's merits - come on, we will go from B&B to venue to bar to B&B -> repeat for Sunday. No need to run into pikeys, no loitering around McDonalds... it'll be no different to any other tourney. Eurobowl 04 was great, best tourney I've been to, but Homburg wasn't a stunning location. It did the job which is what Blackpool does too.
I reckon this is all a little melodrama to knock the confidence of the hosts so they don't win it twice in a row

actually, I genuinely thought last years tourney was poorly organised and managed all told, but that is a story for another thread...
you should try attending a Dutch tourney Indi.. now they run like clockwork..
