I won some impressive titles in 198X, some more in 199X, even more impressive titles in 200X, some of them REALLY impressive, and a few even MORE impressive! Not to mention a lot of less impressive ones.

Well, Skaven gutter runner are not very tall, very similar to Dwarfs, for example. And the gutter runners MA matches perfectly with the AV of a longbeard...on the other hand, longbeards are very similar to zombies, both having MA4, ST3 and AG2. You can now upgrade a longbeard to a slayer by adding a MA and reducing AV, exactly like you can upgrade a zombie to a skeleton...

Overall, they are basically the same, just painted differently.

:-?

Ah, well, no need to mention it, really, I know...

Sputnik, clueless

longshot

at present there's only sputnik that has no scottish blood in him, but sputnik not at the eurobowl would be a travesty.

all of the rest have a certain amount of scottish heritage to them. the troublesome ones are lowsman and mordred, both have some but not as much as i wanted really. we've had so many dropouts though that it's come to this.

well i've heard back from moose cloud and his mate and it's bad news i'm afraid guys. they can't make it down now which means that we're now 3 members short and i've run out of scottish coaches.

yeah as you can guess i'm putting an end to the dream for this year. i can't see any way that we can get a team made up in time with a scottish persuasion to their nationality.

a big apology from myself to everyone involved. i'll still be turning up for the makeshift run aside tournament thing so if you can make it let me know and we can discuss where everything went wrong this time and where we can go next year.

i've also got travel arrangements for anyone who needs them.

andy

today is a black day

pity you can't get enough peeps to go andy. Would have been good to see kilts at the EB.

Unless you go, and then pick up freebooters from the sidelines?

i did think about that, but well we're already watering down the scottish element and even i think i'm stretching it a little too far now. although if there's a shortage of teams maybe we can be considered to make up a renegade team to bolster the numbers. no chance of winning anything just there to make sure everyone get's a game

A renegade team is up to Grum and Geoff I spose, if there's an odd number of teams (but I make it 8 atm if everybody shows) and enough lurkers to make up a renegade team it might even become practical.

I don't particularly want to play (in the main event) anyway, and I wouldn't even consider freebooting for another country.
What's this about a makeshift/side tournament anyway? Nothing on the website about it and can't find anything in the 58 eurobowl threads currently running...

Geoff was talking about running a sideline tournament for people who wanted to join in, but weren't in the Eurobowl

This year we would also like to offer the chance for other coaches who are not in the Eurobowl itself to be able to attend and join in with the event on a social level. As such individuals may enter at a reduced rate of £70 per person (offering the same facilities as above). These coaches will be known as the "Rookie Tryouts" and there will be a series of informal games scheduled alongside the main Eurobowl event to keep players occupied. These are also great for Nations who want to send 2 (or more) players to play one Bloodbowl team.

i thought that wza\s what they were doing? in case there was an odd amount of teams they have a pool of players to make a team up and those not involved could have an improptu mini tournament.

maybe this didn't get off the ground. if that's the case then don't listen to me i'm stoopid
