Which Races will be appearing at Eurobowl 3 (England 2005)
OK ladies, it's the final count down to the Eurobowl weekender.
For your delectation we have the following information released from Eurobowl Towers:
Skaven - By far the most popular. Every nation is bringing one (so that's a hell of a lot of Gutter Runners who are in for a shoe-ing!! )
Undead, Orc, Dwarf and Chaos Nain (es ist Eurobowl ) are also very popular, each appearing in 7 of the 8 nations.
Norse and Necromantic make it into 6 nations choices. Obviously there are a couple of nations who still prefer their players to shave....
Lizardmen also make it into the final "more popular than not" slot, providing the tournament with 5 lots of skinks to squish.
The Wood Elf Union of Unfouled Wardancers have obviously been in disagreement this year, with half of the nations being allowed to field healthy (at the minute) 'dancers. Let's all work together to relieve the fine athletes who are attending of their remaining appendages
Amazons are always bandied around as a good team under 1 million but it seems that not all nations agree, appearing as they are in only 3 of the line ups.
Humans keep the side up for the Empire - showing in 2 teams. Just goes to show you can't keep an old dog down!
Khemri and Chaos (!) make up the last two places with one showing each. Only the final result on Sunday will justify their inclusion by their coaches - or confirm the reason they're missing from 7 nations
So who didn't make it???
Well, Olaf reneged on his promise to bring Halflings. Hoomin's in training for next year's McLast team with his Gobbos. Only the Wood Elves make a showing for the pointy ear race - their dark, high and pro cousins opting to watch the games from the safety of the other side of the CABALvision cameras. Ogres, vamps and rotters, all being new to the professional game, must also wait another year with nations relying instead on the more proven races.
That's all for now sports fans... but don't forget to tune in later this week when we'll have a run down of all the runners and riders.
