How did you fare with less guard, but more block on the BoB's?
Block on the BOBs meant I could use them in precisely the manner I see them as - complete and utter bully boys of the BB pitch. Just kept chipping away at people. Within 3 squares they make better blitzers than blitzers!!

Fair enough...

I use them as I see them as well... Big Dumb Roadblocks

I will keep using a different strategy, as I can then still delude myself that it's the line-up, not the player skill

Thanks to all the Northern chaps for organising the event (special kudos to Michael who didn't end up playing but never stopped smiling 8) ).

Loads of prizes and free food, top notch!!

Well my inaugral outing with Norse really was a dubious one; 2/2/2. I expect to have rubbish NAF rating as well as one of my two victories was in the last round Dungeonbowl event and I'm told that as it is a 'Blood Bowl varient' (not to mention difficult to quantify as there were four players involved) then it will not count for ranking.

Oh well, had a great time (just don't mention the journey up there Image) and good to meet different BB'ers :) .

*tap tap*

Is this thing on? Ah, cool. Right, then!

Thanks to everyone that came, all participants helped create a really friendly atmosphere in the otherwise terrifyingly forbidding Masonic Lodge with the hidden sacrificial goat circles under the carpet and somesuch.

I put forward another Honorable Mention award to go with the others that were doled out at the end of the event: The Toilet Journey To End All Toilet Journies. That poor porcelain throne in Monkeyville's Masonic Lodge was well and truly killed by that depth charge!

Again, well done to Geoff with the Orcazons (and kudos to the owner of that team, a really novel addition to the tournament!) to Glum, who only lost 'cause he was really ill, and to the deluge of first timers, some who'd only started playing Bloodbowl a couple of weeks before!

Hopefully, I'll try and attend more of these tournament things, and get a bit better. Maybe I'll dig out those Pro-Elves I bought from Frazer's ex-housemate and try them next time, but I kinda like the wormtails.

Back to your regularly scheduled trashtalking and actual content!

Geoff, it looked to me like your main strategy was 'get drawn against four chumps in the first four rounds'.

Great Weekend,

Thanks to Pippy and all the boys for a great weekend

Gratz to Geoff (again), I reckon it was my lucky Orcs that you borrowed that swung it for you.

Thanks to Hangus and Max for helping me out with lifts and to Geoff Mam for her hospitality.

My Ogres came, saw, but didn’t quite conquer! But I am delighted with their 2/1/3 performance. Not bad for a team with no re-rolls.
Some highlights:

Musical instruments

Awful Awful German Opera type music

The Well

Fight in King Johns Tavern

Chicken Parmo

Massive Sandwiches

Aarons “dodgy tummyâ€

It's not the draw I'm complaining about. As you know very well, I cannot stand the spectacle of a crowing Porritt!

Honorable mentions, too! Don't forget the honorable mentions!

Also, I am most terribly upset that Schmee considers me a chump. He probably thinks I'm fat, too... :(

Shame I missed the chicken parmo fantastica, but I was sorta busy being not-quite-right in the stomach.
