Non-GW figs at tournies?

Post by Chobahk »

Okay total newbie to the BB tourney scene, but not to BB. But are non-GW figs legal at these bigger tournies? I know they are probably okay at smaller ones but the Gencon pics showed the bunnies team. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

general rule of thumb is ::::

gw tourney, only use gw figs

for everything use what you want.

essentially that's the line

makes sense to me - only GW get stuffy about that stuff. Other organizers don't give a hoot as long as models reflect something like what they are supposed to be that is!

I'm guessing from the GenCon reference that you're US based? European scene is a whole different thing..

Gee...you would think that someone who is purportedly the head of a Global Blood Bowl community would be sensitive to his entire constituency. Blood Bowl is not limited to the UK/Europe.

I'm assuming those votes you received from North America also reflect who's not in the know.

Easy there Rob, i think Deathwing made a valid point the general rules may be different in the US, he is not to know not being from the US or playing in non GW tornis in the US, so I think he made a very helpful comment

GW Tourneys

Post by CoachRattenfetza »

Please note, that Games Workshop organises these tourneys and would like to see (in the web, or White Dwarf) nice Blood Bowl Teams, made of GW Blood Bowl Miniatures... ;-)

Cheers

I have no idea what Deathwing is talking about by asking those in the know.
....

Anyway ... my response to this.

The GW sponsered majors (Dungeonbowl, Blood Bowl, Chaos Cup, Spike) have required GW figs ... outside of those ... use whatever you feel like.

Now unfortunately for me and fortunately ... GenCon is going back to being GW sponsered to get better table placement. So GenCon is going back to being GW figs only.

No idea, and not even the inclusion of the J-files is going to tempt me to find out either.

so start sculpting new and GOOD minis like GW is doing in
40K or WH section.
