The Pearly Kings & Queens III -Who's taking what?

Post by dwarfcoach »

I think this tourney will see the inaugaration of my Necromantic team to the tourney circuit; The Odd Squad!

As this tourney is 110, this means I can get in loads of specialist players so the blood should be flowing freely... :P :D

What's everyone else taking?
Cheers,

DC

IF I can make it, I'll probably also be bringing Necros.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Just had my first practice game for this tourney (and indeed, my first game ever using a Necromantic team). I played a chap from the ECBBL (Richy) and he beat me. 1-0. He was usign Chaos. An 11 player Chaos team. And (thanks to throw a rock) he played the whole game with only 10 players.

:o

I think I suck using Necromantics. Anyone up for some Pearlies PbeM practice matches? It's 110, and if you're up for it then buzz me a PM and I'll send you the game already loaded with my team.

I badly need some practice as this event is coming in a couple of weeks... :-?

Mate.....cmon. You can never judge if you like a race on one game, that's ludicrous. You need to play a couple of times before you can really get a feel of the strenghts and weaknesses.

Necro's are a great race to play, albeit overly reliant on just a few key players.

But what gets me, is why PKQ to launch them? Of all the tournies, this is one very tricky one for Necro. You dont get to choose WHO gets skills, its random, so you could end up with skilled up Zombies and very vulnerable Wolves surely??

(says the man who is thinking of using Nurgle....lol)

Naah man, I think you misunderstand. I love my new team, have a look here: viewtopic.php?t=19562

It's just that I've had no experience using them. EVER. Well aprt from today when I lost. I think a bit of a crash course in using them, loads of games to get me into the 'Necro-grove'... 8)

I have taken Dwarcoach and MrSticks advice and decided Dwarves are powergaming cheats so I will be bringing Orcs

Anyone got a goblin team I could borrow?

If not, Necros or Lizzies (having played a few one-off games at my club recently).
