Hi all, I'm going to be there with my Wood Elves - be a nice change to the vamps I used in our last league.

I think I'll go with what I know - High Elves (though know might be a bit of an exageration). Ogres look fun though - I've been playing against them a lot at my local club and they can be tricky, but not often likely to win.

Zons or Norse for me, need a break from Dark Elves

If I can not get a Snow Troll painted in time its Zons.

2 Trolls
Bombardier
Looney
Pogoer
Fanatic
Goblin
Goblin
Goblin
Goblin
Ripper
Nobbla
RR 2
FF 1

or instead of Nobbla, Scrappa + 2 gobs, or Bomber + 1 gob and 4 FF.

Edit:
Ooh, stars allowed, this means:
2 Trolls
Bombardier
Looney
Pogoer
Fanatic
Goblin
Goblin
Ripper
Nobbla
Scrappa
Bomber
RR 2
FF 1

11 players for the first drive.

.....erm, 5 for the next. (Maybe)

I'm thinking:

Ripper
2 trolls
3 RR
Chainsaw
Bulk it out with gobbos...

Mind you, I need some practice to see what'll work. But the dirty little fella's should be there.

What I really wanted was a team built around Varag but having looked at the rules that won't wash :( .

I think ill use Khemri, never played a single game with them, but how hard can they be, its just a case of hitting things isnt it?

If i was doing goblins I would do 3 trolls including ripper, fungus, looney and a bomber . I will be doing high elves I am thinking 2 blitzers 2catcher 1 thrower(upgraded to AG5) 6 limenmen(upgrade 3 with block one with kick one with leader) and 4 re-rolls

Hi Dazlamb

Just looking at your skills ideas, if you took the AG increase then you don't get to take any doubles skills/traits, so you'd need to put leader on a thrower rather than a lineman as its a passing skill. Pretty sure that's right anyway.

Not got my skills fixed yet, gonna play a couple more practice games to get them ironed out!

Your right Nippy. Not sure about taking leader then. I haven't actualy played any WaterBowl practice games yet. I kind of fancy having a AG 5 thrower even if teams are going to try and beat him up.

damn, you've found out my Blood Bowl strategy

Probably Norse if I can get around to modelling the Ulfwenar and Snow Troll. Otherwise whatever comes to hand that is painted.

Ordered up Ripper today, hopefully have him painted up and ready to rock soon. Oh, and that AG5 thrower - If I get anywhere near him there's a chainsaw with his name on it.... :D

Just walk into the nearest display cabinet and you're bound to find one.

Yes but I could end up bringing Alexander The Great instead and I'm not sure how good he'll be at Blood Bowl.....

Nice to see that there should be a good mix of teams and not just all bash (that said, my record vs elves is atrocious. In Waterbowl 1-dayer a high elf team cleared all my necros from the pitch :o and last year the necros were doinked by Andrew from Cheadle's Woodies 4-0, despite the fact that he only had about 7 players  . Perhaps the skaven will have more luck).

@Lowsman, I wonder which round I will play you in. Our paths often seem to cross (Bearded Snot, Carnage, Waterbowl....). Usually, we start off close and then you beat my teams to a bloody pulp...
(that said, the games are fun :D )

Cheers

Leip  :o
