Well I feel it only a fitting that the Little Chefs return to the Pearlies to Defend there Most Casualties award from last year. So that makes two Halfling Teams so far I wounder what the final count will be

I am reliably informed by Simon ( a Blackshirt) that his mate Gavin will be using Halflings.

I will be using Goblins. 8)

Valen will be usiing Ogres (if he gets them finished in time).

Roller (cool Spanish dude that may well be able to attend this year) will be bringing Ogres.

Northernknight will be 'flinging it' if he attends...

ianwilliams / Doubleskulls may well bring his killer Goblins...

Firebreather and his halflings...

I know there are others who would love to attend with Stunties. Just know this:

"Just because you are likely to lose a game, doesn't mean you will lose a game. Go on, you never know when a win is around the corner... :D "

True, but stunties are significantly less likely to lose a game if the TO allows Star Players. Having 3 trees instead of 2 makes a big difference to flings (regardless of the pro's/con's of Deepfruit)

Go on...you know it makes sense. ;-)

Well given my selection choice by my own enforced rule this year, Ogres or Gobbos are very likely. Chaos or Helves the other choices....

The problem is that Star Players would have to be allowed for 'all' teams if the little guys have them and so it would put them right back on the same odds against most teams :-? .

ah go on you know you want to,

IMHO with the price hike for stars allowing them for all is not an issue as the only ones that are affordable for most teams are the s/w stars and then they rarely have an effect on the game as they only tend to be on the pitch for a few turns. I also think flings should be able to take a chef as they no longer start with one :-?

The thing is, tournies need to be different. The skill systems, star players, the TR value... these things need to be a healthy mix to keep the variation. If every tournament follows the same or similar patterns then I think we lose something.

PKQ has never had stars and always had a unique skill system. I see no reason to change it..... There are plenty of other tournies in the UK that allow stars so lets keep some variation?

I don't expect stars at PKQ I'm just stirring :D

I do think being able to induce a chef would be nice to make a game of it for flings but noe essential

I'm so far off my game atm i might take them just to have fun

What is going on there? I guess your in a bad run... we all get them.. you hit patches were every oppo you play pulls off some great 1 in 5 chance of coming off kinda play.
And flings are fun... I took them last year to Thrud bowl... they are good fun. It was my first one turner... then did it next game!

Sounds like a stunty team may well be the way to go this time mate.

I've never used Gobbo's at an event before but if I get to play at Pearlies (as long as there are even numbers) then I really need a team that I'm really not worried about losing with so I'm free of prideful concerns that may well get me down (I can't believe I've lost a game!! :o ) and will be happy to play Bloodbowl and learn stuff about using stunties.

Hoping I get to play, pretty sure I'll have fun games regardless, it's all good... 8)

I don't think I'll be using the gobbos this time round - for this & the BB I'm going to use my Orcs.
