Slann - what figues to use?

Post by besters »

Title says it all, I'm looking to take a Slann team to a tournament this year. What are the best figures to use?

Have seen Kroot weapon snipped for a cheap source of figs, more depends on what you are looking to spend

As little as possible as it is likely to be a one-off event. Unless I find they are much better than expected.

Thanks for the responses, gives me something to think about.

The Greebo ones I like more as a Slann team but I do like the Gaspez ones as a Lizardmen team.

Or you could borrow a team if it's likely to only be a one-off.

That's a possibility, only seven teams to go, so having to give it some serious thought.

Decided what I'm going to take to two of the three tournaments I've booked so far. Underworld, Lizardmen.

Khemri or Nurgle is the likely choice for the third.

Leaving Ogre, Goblin, Slann and the team I don't choose still to go.

I played 8 new teams in 9 tournaments last year, so hoping to complete the 24 this.

Jim, if you want to take Slann for the ARBBL, I've got the team I got of Firebreather, though I'm not 100% on what positions it has.

Jim, I have fully painted up Slann team you are welcome to borrow.

I'm not sure exactly what maker or sculptor they are though. I won them at a very very early Newquay bowl that impact! sponsored but I think they dropped the team not long after. Valen would probably remember. I have not seen anyone else with these figs but this dates back to 2004/5??

Thanks Dave, I've already accepted Simon's offer, but certainly appreciated.

I've never played with slann and only once or twice againstit should certainly be a fun change.

Is it the Reptiliad team that I painted for you Dave? They where from a company called RAFM miniatures and are apparantly still available and not that expensive. Listed on the webstore in THIS section, pages 2 and 3. I painted the 'Heavy Line Packers' as Blitzers, the 'Medium Spoilers' as Linemen, and the 'Light Flankers' as catchers. The Kroxigor was a Terrorpin from Impact.
