Rule Set Database

Post by Blocknroll »

Hiya, Just been scanning through and couldn't find anything, but has anyone thought of doing a sort of database of various rule sets that have been used at Tournaments over the years? Trying to pull some ideas together and such a resource would have been useful.

If people have links to rule sets (links that aren't going to go out of date, I guess that's the tricky bit?) might it be possible to post them here and turn this thread into such a resource?

Cheers

What kinda things you need to list?
With the Rocket Bowl the round special rules change each year for the new theme but the core points stay the same.
For example, would you want something like this?:

SOURCE TOURNAMENT: Rocket-Bowl

START TV: 110

No STAR PLAYERS: 1 (2 Stunty)

INDUCEMENTS: All - Except Cards & Wizard

W/D/L: 10/5/0

TD BONUS PTS?: Y - 1 per TD - MAX 3

CAS BONUS PTS?: Y - 1 per CAS - MAX 3

SPECIAL BONUS PTS?: Y - 3pts per 2 Sent-Off players.

SET ROUND EVENTS: N - Yearly change.

Pug, thanks yes. That sort of thing but include skills rulings if possible. It's a workable format to start things off tho isnt it?

Maybe there could be a section called notes or something, in there you could include some of the round specific things you do or any notes.

Nice idea - would be happy to host it on the NAF site, would seem a sensible place for it!

Ok, I will trawl through some old tournies over the weekend (as I kind of need to anyway) but in the meanwhile feel free to add them here in the format suggested by Pug, but with the notes section/skills description. Cheers :)
Here's my slightly tweaked posting format (so they could be sorted by start TV)

START TV: (XXX)

SOURCE TOURNAMENT:

No STAR PLAYERS:

INDUCEMENTS:

W/D/L:

TD BONUS PTS?:

CAS BONUS PTS?:

SPECIAL BONUS PTS?:

ROUND TIE-BREAK:

OVERALL RESULT TIE-BREAK:

SET ROUND EVENTS:

NOTES:

All the ARBBL ones (7 past, 1 to come) are hosted on our website.

Yep. I'd have listed the rules, but they've had small changes every year (or nearly so), so I wasn't sure what you'd need - better you do it. ;)

Made a start here: http://www.thenaf.net/tournaments/runni ... /examples/, gives a good selection I think.

Quite (completely) UK-centric!

If you want some US input, ask on the Zlurpee forums (or I can ask them if you want). Xtreme, Jonny P, and Valdric would have all the biulds for the Zlurpee, Chaos Cup, Gen-Con and a bunch of smaller tourney.

EDIT: I just asked :D

Just popped it on Facebook, if anyone replies there, here, on Twitter or on the NAF site I'll incorporate it :)

I just put on the tournaments I've been to...
