Fair enough, mine is run at an RSL club so plenty of food and drink available. They wouldn't like me bringing in my own beverages to be honest, and getting them to cater would cost a fortune.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

We run all three of our NZ tournaments in buildings with pubs attached. Coffee is only required as a wake up call on the second day.

Considering our prizes are Steins, Pilseners and Half Pints and involves a Saturday night Fortified wine night....coffee is the least of our problems :)

But to get around that issue I just bought sugar in the "cafe single serves" so that made life WAY easier :)

Sure, I'd love to book somewhere more central and/or with on-site food/drink options, but last I looked (when we thought we might lose our current venue) the cheapest option was 3 times what I currently paid, meaning I'd have to nearly double my ticket price.
I only did it once and my opponent was dave ffs!

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
Bribe level: good coffee.

I don't even use a spoon :o(

Just put your milk and your Sugar in before you put the coffee in.
Let the mechanics of the fluid that is being poured in do the work for you.
It saves some dish washing at home too. (cause I'm lazy)

You English are weird...

I ordered a coffee... and got one with milk inside. I told the girl behind the bar that I ordered a coffee, nothing more. And she got aggitated and told me that if you order a coffee it's always with milk. If you want a black coffee... you need to order "black coffee".

Sigh, alcohol stops getting sold at 11 pm...

And the trick of saving spoons when it comes to milk, is to put the milk inside the coffee before you poor the coffee in. The current will take care of the rest. (Or just order a coffee... that would also help ... in england) . I've tried the same lazy theory to safe out spoons during dishwashing... but it doesnt work with sugar, suggar actually needs a good spoon to mix everything.

And I agree... sticking a used spoon in the sugar is disgusting.

... Annyway, you English are weird.
... But you do host great tournaments with rules that are good for flings.

I was pleased with the bonus coffee though!

How could you be :P

If I didn't get the black one I would have payed for it :D

It's the referee guy that came from outside (my appologies didn't remember the name) that was happy with the extra coffee :D He drank it up.
