Was there even a rough timeframe for this during the discussion at Speedbowl i.e. later this year, early next year, late next year?

Not really... It was just brought up and someone said, "I can host that...." So probably something for the late 2016 calendar.

I was making an offer of space as well, I reckon I could host 16 maybe even 18 coaches at mine.

The main draw back to this is obviously it would be around Bristol rather than midlands, I was more thinking we could do one at mine as a test run and if it went well look for a more acceptable venue.

I just pitched this to a friend and he said, "dear god, no "

Another person in the room then said, "would you do it for charity?" Yes he would.

I would be well up for this (especially if it was near-ish by like Bristol!). Of course it may make me go blind or insane . . . . but it sounds like a challenge.

I would keep the skill package very, very, very simple as by the end any more than 3 skills and I won't have a clue. It would be madness to do it as a 24 hour progression tournament and yet . . . . .

This is the second dumbest idea ever.

The dumbest idea happened while I was carrying beer with a friend of mine. He said, "There are 24 cans of beer in each of these cases. Also, there are 24 hours in a day".

This did not end well.

Actually, I guess the dumbest idea would be to combine the 24 hour, 24 game tournament with a 24 can case race. Do they sell 24 racks in the UK?

24 hours. 24 games. 24 different races. 24 beers.

Those numbers are not a coincidence.

This sounds awesome. The only downside is, I won't be able to remember how it turned out ...

That's around my birthday, so this is a positive. Its also less than a month after the due date of my second child, which could either mean I'm
a) unable to make it through exhaustion already (and lack of opportunity to catch sleep back up after) or
b) already fully mentally prepared for the situation due to the aforementioned lack of sleep...
