Geordies are looking to break the 30 point barrier next year so the Jocks had better up their game ;-)
Pippy, remind me how many matches you won personally?

It was good to finally beat you  we just need to get all the Scots playing their best on the day and we might have a chance at that elusive hosting prize. Many thanks again for the practise, I am sure it will prove invaluable in Belgium!!

Totally agree! I genuinely think you can do it. Will be rooting for you in November, unless you're drawn against England then that's a different matter... ;)

As a lurker, i'm reading lots of threads.
This 2 days "private" tourney between the 2 national teams of England and Scotland sound great like this.
Now i'm dreaming of an extension of this formula, in order to build a "Davis Bowl", something similar to the Davis Cup :)

I should add to this - it wasn't an English national team, it was a league team from northern England not far from the Scottish border. Much the same idea though!

This magnificent event took place again this weekend. The trophy was narrowly retained by the Geordies.

Lots of fun was had by all!

Our Scottish cousins will be providing more detail, pics etc. in due course. Looking forward to that :)
