Excel Spreadsheet for Running Tournaments (ExScore)

Post by sann0638 »

Evening all - I've produced an Excel file that runs a Swiss system for BB tournaments, like Score but with increased flexibiliity. Have a look, and let me know if you find any mistakes. Long way to go, but quite pleased with it. http://www.sann0638.co.uk/exscore/

V2 now available, not that anyone noticed V1...

It's quite snazzy, do have a look.

It didn't go unnoticed, I guess nobody has had the chance to try it yet. I've downloaded it (no chance to play with it yet) and I guess I'm not the only one, hehehe.

Thanks for the tool!

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Good to know. It's an excel sheet with macros in. If your work doesn't like them, it won't like this!

Nice job, I just tried it to simulate a tournament like the one i'm running, and seemed to work fine. The only thing I missed on it is the possibility to configure the tiebreakers.

Cool. Will add that functionality this evening, and then comes the big one - group Swiss :)

If I fill in the names and after that, want to see the round I cant find the names anymore.... So I cant see who's playing who.
And I have a feeling that all the 40 players are rostered..?

You should indeed be able to define tiebrakers, and perhaps a method to make sure people of the same league dont play each other the first round.

Will give the next one a spin, too. Because I might have missed some stuff.
But I've used score before, that did work for me.

Not sure what you are describing, if you can be more specific that would be helpful.

And to be clear, I love Score, it's brilliant and does the job for 99% of tournaments. But there are some gaps, and I'm trying to fill those :)
