My phone strangely died overnight on Saturday but fixed itself later. Pretty sure that would've been

Jocks 15 - 13 Geordies
After round 4

(Have fixed an earlier error too; Round 3 scores were 13-8)

Yes, guess it was coming to us eventually... ;-) Well done Jocks!! Always a pleasure.

Born as Eurobowl practice for both parties back in 2014, this annual contest has become great fun in its own right: a Blood-Bowling Union of like-minded folk, brought together by a love of silly games and good times.

This, the fourth meet comes with the Jocks never having won but this time on home soil and spoiling for a fight. The Geordies brought another strong traveling team with a late replacement in the form of the redoubtable former Scotland Captain DonShula!

The Scots (Jocks) are competing in the Eurobowl in two weeks after the meet and looking to use this as a practice match/stepping stone to success in Porto.

The venue for this years meet was DonShula's house in the picturesque village of North Queensferry just over the Bridge in the kingdom of Fife.

The Teams:

Jocks

Garrick - Dark Elves
Humpty_Trump - Amazon
Lord_Garlack - Orcs
Purdindas - Norse
Sadface - Wood Elves
Mike_Rushby - Choas Dwarves

Geordies
Image
Stick - Wood Elves
Peo - Norse
Pipey - Lizardmen
Scally - Dark Elves
Indibro - Necromantic Undead
DonShula - Dwarves

Rules:
*Eurobowl 2017 roster building
*1 pt for each individual win, 0.5 pts for an individual draw
*Each round the winning team receives an extra 1 pt for winning the round, or 0.5 pts for drawing the round
*5 games Round Robin

The Geordies made the trip up in Peo's car early Saturday morning.

Round 1 Saturday
Sadface 1-0 Peo
Mike_Rushby 1-1 Scally
HumptyTrump 1-1 Pipey
LordGarlack 1-2 Indibro
Garrick 2-0 Stick
Purdindas 1-2 DonShula

A tense opener which ended in a draw. Overall score Jocks 3.5 - Geordies 3.5

Round 2 Saturday
Sadface 1-2 Donshula
Garrick 2-0 Indibro
Mike_Rushby 0-3 Pipey
HumptyTrump 3-0 Scally
LordGarlack 0-3 Stick
Purdindas 2-1 Peo

Another Cagey round which ended in a draw. The prestige of the competition perhaps getting to even the best of players. Overall score Jocks 7.0 - Geordies 7.0

Round 3 Saturday
Garrick 2-1 DonShula
HumptyTrump 1-0 Stick
Purdindas 0-2 Pipey
Sadface 2-1 Indibro
LordGarlack 2-0 Scally
Mike_Rushby 2-0 Peo

A solid victory for the Jocks winning five out of six games and only Pipey stopping a whitewash! Overall score now Jocks 13.0 - Geordies 8.0

Round 4 Sunday
Garrick 1-2 Pipey
HumptyTrump 0-1 Donshula
Sadface 2-1 Stick
Mike_Rushby 1-1 Indibro
Purdindas 1-2 Scally
LordGarlack 1-1 Peo

After finishing day one in the lead and on a high, the Jocks got a reality check. The Geordies win the penultimate round and set up a stressful finale where any team can win! Overall score now Jocks 15.0 - Geordies 13.0

Round 5 Sunday
Sadface 0-2 Pipey
Garrick 2-1 Scally
Mike_Rushby 2-1 Stick
LordGarlack 1-0 DonShula
Purdindas 2-1 Indibro
HumptyTrump 1-1 Peo

The Jocks keep the head and play out of theirs skins and despite some heroics from the Geordies as they tried crazy plays to try and prevent disaster the Jocks are able to win the final round and the competition!

Final Score: Jocks 20.5 - Geordies 14.5

Overall an excellent team performance from the Jocks and a real confidence boost for the upcoming Eurobowl in Porto.

Overall best player went to Pipey who gets the commemorative plate and the Jocks and Geordies Comic

Much fun was had by all. The Geordies are bound to be dissapointed but I'm confident they will regroup ahead of the next encounter, next year!
