Makes no difference, in fact I'd rather pay the extra if anything for one large hall. But I'm an addict as you know so perhaps my opinion isn't the norm. :)

I don't think it's prohibitive, but as someone as who already has lots of gubbins I would rather the ticket price go on venue rather than gifts/prizes.
Personally, I'd lean towards no bits/minimal prizes, but nicer venue.

Mubo is wise.

I would agree with mubo in most cases, but I like the occasional gubbin and UKTC is one of the best in the world for those. Moar gubbinzz please Pee-Pee!

I am prioritising venue costs this time (2019 that is) over gifts. If numbers go big (close to a sell-out) then we can expect cool gifts just like before. Hopefully even cooler.

Thanks again for comment and kind words :)

I'm sure I'm the only person who thinks this, but isn't there a better place to have this than York?
Not that it is a bad place, quite the opposite. It's too good. It felt like a waste of a trip to York when I went to this a few years ago. Like I said, I'm probably the only person to think this but you never know.

You want somewhere that's not very nice? :o

Suggestions?

I'll be keeping UKTC in York for the foreseeable. Seems to have been very popular and fairly central and accessible within the UK.

Insert easy Hartlepool joke here. ;)

Already looking forward to the new venue!

I think the wonderful seaside town of Bournemouth would make a nice location for your tourney.... If you are thinking of moving....

;)

I was going to say Hartlepool

Bournemouth would be cool. Maybe a South West team event.

As a serious and central(ish) location. Sheffield.
