First Tournament am I forgetting anything?

Post by Cosmodon »

Going to my first table top tournament in a couple weeks and want to make sure I am not forgetting anything or missing any etiquette. I usually play Fumbbl and BB2 on PC so I figure pants are now a requirement.

Have a fully painted team with numbers. (players look like what they are, undead so little confusion)
Multiple roster copies
Rules for tournament
Skill rings for extra skills (bases are flocked so tough to mark on them)
Dice
Pitch
Dugouts
Rulebooks

Am I forgetting anything or any added recommendations. I know BB is a fairly laid back but no reason for me forgetting something making life difficult for someone else.

Thanks

Food, water, a pen

Talk about what a cocked dice means before the game and when to roll it again and when not to.

Toilet roll incase well you know, incase someones eaten it all.

Good luck.

I'm a British Freebooter, will play for any team including Undead (I have my own Apothecary). Good rates.

Aspiring to improve on mid-table mediocrity, over in the SAWBBL.

Fancy an actual one-dayer? Check out The Coffee Cup.

Looking at attending your first tournament? Have a read of this.

Hello and welcome to the world of TT tourneys!

A lot of what you ask depends on the event on question.
Eg re painted teams, at my events I don't mind if you're team is painted or not. Other events demand paint.
Numbering is generally not a problem.

Same goes for rosters; I don't want one (a single copy on your phone/tablet is good enough), let alone multiple. Some events want 5!

Rules for event should be available at the event, but always nice to have a copy to hand. Again, a digital copy is usually enough. Same for rulebook.

You will need skill rings (or something to show skills), dice (though you can ask to dice share with your opponent).
Most events will need you to bring a pitch & dugout as most TOs don't own that many pitches ;)

Most tourneys are easy going and if you make sure you're opponents know you are a TT rookie they will help with what you need.

Enjoy your weekend :)

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
Bribe level: good coffee.

Markers for rerolls etc. You will want a spare zombie if playing undead :)
