The very first international BB tournament in Norway.

Post by roysorlie »

Here all here all.

Come this fall, the very first international BB tournament held in Norway will be held at Metropolis in Stavanger. Sponsored by the local Gaming store, Outland, we invite anyone who can find the time and money to partake in this fall's Tournament.

The tournament will be held in the swiss style, with rules akin to the BloodBowl.

There will be prices for the winner, for best painted team, for best conversion, and best sportsman.

More information to come.
Tourny Website will be published when finished.

Anyone who's interessted, please let me know, so I might get a general idea of the interest.

Regard.

Roy

Do you know what a Beer costs in Norway?

And then you still only get a 2,3% alcohol beer; like half a real one filled up with water to make a full beer (or possibly even worse than water)

Norway=Norvege (?)

Next (west) to Sweden; North and across the water from Danmark, which borders to the north of Germany?

EY EY EY!!!!

This is the land of VIKINGS!!
We have no beer with 2.3% alcohol!! That's a fact. Regular beer has a percentage of 4.75 % Thank you very much!

And the price? Oh yeah, regular beer, 0.5 l costs approx 1.8 £ or 2.5 $ in the store, and closer to 4 £ or 5 $ at a pub. But fear not!!!! I will try to get a deal with Irishman, to see if we can't manage som subsidised prices. (or any other pub for that matter) For a small entrance fee.

As to the specific date, it is as yet not determined, but it will be held shortly after summer vacations are over, and people are getting a bit settled in. Also, Early fall, it's not very much colder than england.

And for the record, I think it's appropriate to point out that Stavanger has amongst the greatest denisty of very very good looking girls in Norway, (a country where the majority girls look good by any other countrys standard)

So.. any more queastions?

4,75% beers?
Never saw any of those in Norwegian Supermarkets... I only ever saw the 2.3% stuff...

So I may have missed the good beers, but the "light" ones are there, I know for a fact.

Anyway, though I'd love to go to Norway once more, especially to play BB, it is just way to expensive for me...
Maybe next year. To anyone who can spend some money and time, I'd say go; make a holiday out of it. Norway is certainly worth visiting at least once! (The North Cape is very very beautiful!, so is the Garanger Fort (did I get that name right?))

I think maybe you've been a victim of the closing time for sale. Most places in norway, they stop selling alcohol at 6 or 8 pm. But trust me when I say, 4.75 % is the standars in any grocery store.

Furthermore, Stavanger is a beautiful town, and has maybe the best night life in all of Norway, (no bullshit).

But prices can be stiff, bordering on ridicoulous, I agree. Especially alcohol. Oh, how I wish we were parto f the Europeean Union.

Anyway. It's a free for all tournament, and I'd be happy to meet as many of you as can find the time and money to tak the trip.
