Perfect Ulfwerener... maybe even Werewolf!

Post by Digger Goreman »

Never heard of the company, "Dwarf Tales", but... WOW!

http://www.coolminiornot.com/store/prod ... xProd=4673

Apparently it also comes with an alternate hand/arm in case two are wanted/needed....

I agree...WOW :o that could just about be the best proxy/mini for an Ulfwerener that I have seen yet.

a little pricey at $15 though...

i think this:

could be a better ulf, but the size is not mentioned.

Its a very big miniature, that is a 40mm base, its easily as big as Impact's Valkyrie Giantess (if not bigger)

Really? Have you actually seen it yourself? Obviously, if you have, you'll be the best judge... all I have to go by is the fact that both the CMoN shop page linked above and Dwarf Tales' own shop page for the figure (http://shop.dwarftales.com/index.php?pr ... prod_id=30) list it as shipping with a 25x25mm square base. This would imply to me that he's normal size, and probably even a good "big, but not too big" ST4 compared to average figures, going by the ratio of figure size to base size -- assuming, of course, that it is a 25mm base as the manufacturer states.

EDIT - in fact, I see now that all the Dwarves listed in the company's shop state they're on a 20x20mm base, and every other figure they make all list 25x25mm square bases, including all the other figures from this guy's race/tribe/whatever, and all are similarly priced... I can't imagine, then, that this guy's some giant on a 40mm square base who's completely out of whack with the rest of their line.

The comparison with the Impact Valkyrie Giantess is for the Sphere Wars Werebear pictured here http://www.coolminiornot.com/store/prod ... 4&xSec=139

As for the Dwarf Tales miniature I have no idea of its scale as do not have that in my collection

Sorry, my fault! I'd completely lost track of which CMoN link was included in your reply, before making my own... this will teach me to pay more attention next time!

So while you're 100% correct that the Sphere Wars mini is huge, at least we do now know that the Dwarf Tales figure should be just the right size (based on his base size), for those who like him.

Does anyone know what size incursion miniatures are? This guy looks pretty good for a werewolf/ulfen too - of course you'll need to have him vaulting something other than the barrel...

I have a couple if you're interested... just a smidgeon smaller than the Greedy wankles Wilhelm Chaney, though not as small as a gobbo/other 2 St model....

I decided I liked the other incursion werewolfs better....
