Re: Werewolf??
I don't know, there are a lot of awesome werewolfs on the market and this one is lackluster. It does look strength 3 though which is a plus for necro fans, there are not a lot of werewolfs out there that fit the slim but speedy look.

Your guides are on the right.... The "Lupines" are HUGE....smokingmonkee wrote:
This might work
The first wolf might be ok, but the Zombified ones are largish 4 St to smallish 5 St in size, i.e., about the size of a 2nd-3rd edition Ogre.... I own these....garion wrote:Reaper is the place to go for werewolves

After buying many were-minis, and painting a few, I've gone back to my first loves: Impact Miniatures Anubis:
An excellent size are the Secrets of the Third Reich werewolves from WestWind Productions:

Just get the Willy Miniatures ones - they're fantastic. They just became available (http://www.willy-miniatures.blogspot.com/).

Re: Werewolf??
I tried that second of the West wind wolves, but he just didn't seem great in person. Plus he leans forward and I don't like guys who do that as they tip over way too often.
I ended up settling for these guys, who also seem to be from Reaper, Chronoscope(?) series.
http://www.reapermini.com/graphics/gall ... 45_w_1.jpg
Used for my Norse Werewolves. I liked that they were bipedal and acting more like a person than an animal, to mirror the joke that became the position named Norse Werewolf. Ulfwerener sounds so much better.
Hard to see in that pic, but in his right hand is a shotgun. While I normally think models look better without any weapons on Blood Bowl, it helps explain his 4 STR. He's using a damn shotgun. Plus you can't beat the hat and vest on them for humor. They are also the general size I would expect for a S4 model.
The Impact! Anubis guys I've been using as Blitz and Thro-Ras for awhile now. Makes them stand out from the normal skellies so much more.

Re: Werewolf??
I also picked up a couple of the Jesse Moonwalker Wolves and found them waaaaayyyy too large... ym(obviously)v....
Yes, the Westwinder tipped over on me all the time....
My kit-bag has limited space and I, also, use the Anubis as Werewolves for my Necro team and they stand in as Blitz-Ras for Khemri, should someone insist on "bringin' the cheese".... Along with a couple of Impact Ra-Throwers and attendant skeletons, I have three teams (Necro/Undead/Khem-cheese) running on 28 total, shared minis....
So, I've painted (or am painting):
6x zombies
6x skeletons
4x ghouls
2x wights
2x flesh golems
2x werewolves (anubis doubles for blitz ras)
2x mummies (double for tomb guardians)
2x mummies (khem-cheese style)
2x throw-ras (impact ra-throwers)
28
Leaves me with sufficient room for support minis, star players, markers, et al....
Finally: there are many good, better, best werewolf minis available... it's just a matter of taste at this point....

Yeah as S3 wimp-wolves I wouldn't think they were appropriate. But who plays that bad team anyway?I also picked up a couple of the Jesse Moonwalker Wolves and found them waaaaayyyy too large...

Re: Werewolf??
I am using these babies for Norse Werewolves (with some position conversion and minus the tail)
I wanted to show them finished on these forums, but real-life has put a stop to doing any conversion work for the foreseeable future so here they are WIP:
Original, not converted, painted (not by me)
Size comparison held together with blue tack, next to a BO (my personal reference for ST4) and a chaos marauder conversion (a typical ST3, although maybe 5-10% bigger than average.
WIP of conversion, I plan to have one in the original position (not shown) and one standing up:

I don't do spam teams or talk CRaP... I'm just here for mini reviews... and smokingmonkee was talking werewolves....Pagan wrote:Yeah as S3... I wouldn't think they were appropriate. Given the reasonable size/strength differential, greyhound's find is outstanding for an Ulfwerener...! The fig is human enough and bestial enough to tread the line between transformations....
Not having seen one in the flesh, but these new arrivals at Impact Miniatures look good for Ulfs:

I Like the Heresy Werewolf (looks thin and rangey, quite a big fella though) and they have a twin pack deal with their Flesh Golem....
