New necrons

Post by inkpwn »

New necrons out soon, while there's not much blood bowl potential someone may want a robot team or something.
http://www.beastsofwar.com/
Struggling to pluck the links because this news is bringing a massive amount of traffic to the BOW site so here's what I grabbed=
Edit:- added some facebook links

Big necron=
http://m.facebook.com/home.php?refid=0# ... =759780679
Looks cool I guess.

Jump infantry?=
http://m.facebook.com/home.php?refid=0# ... =759780679
Why would someone build hunched robots? Seems like a design flaw to me

Necro equivilent of terminator?=
http://m.facebook.com/home.php?refid=0# ... =759780679
Never liked sheilds in 40k.

Necrons with staffs=
http://m.facebook.com/home.php?refid=0# ... =759780679
Anybody got a clue what these could do?

Necrons with even bigger guns!=
http://m.facebook.com/home.php?refid=0# ... =759780679
Watch out tanks, these boys mean buisness.

Necron lord=
http://m.facebook.com/home.php?refid=0# ... =759780679
These things are looking more and more tomb king-ish.

Necron lord=
http://m.facebook.com/home.php?refid=0# ... =759780679
Looks ok, I'm a tad worried about those necrostaffs in finecast, might be a tad wobbly.

Cyclopian snipers=
http://m.facebook.com/home.php?refid=0# ... =759780679
As if necrons needed more powerful guns.

Combat barge=
http://www.beastsofwar.com/warhammer-40 ... rons-2011/
I have been informed that the combat barge is star warfs inspired, just looks silly to me, you would think a necron ship would be a necron. Like the cylon ships.

Ghost ark=
http://www.beastsofwar.com/warhammer-40 ... ghost-ark/
Looks like a necron rollercoaster to me rather than a ship bent on destruction.

The biggest thing I noticed was the lack of the traditional necron clear green acrylic. Other than that its an intresting batch, even if the new flayed ones are wearing silly jackets (couldn't find the pic).

I see some potential in the torsos of the Lychguard and Praetorians, they resemble American style football armour.

Would be easy to do arm swaps and potentially head swaps, only tricky issue is the legs. I think they would make great tomb guardians.

You could also keep them as nercons to do a "modern" Khemri team

All seem to have been removed. :(

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

That's odd, warseer still has them up and they are using the pics straight from BOW.

yeah here you go, this is the latest thread that also contains rumours.

Seems they have ret-conned the Necron fluff so they literally are Tomb kings in spaaaaaaace.

That new fluff looks shite, like the new Grey Knights fluff.
I can agree with them given the Lords individual characters, but to go from working for their gods to having killed them - seems a huge change.
