Wedding Cake Toppers vs. Zombies

Post by odinsgrandson »

Ok, I do a lot of these cake toppers. And that gives me more hope for the world.

I mean, just think of how many people there are who will stand by one another through the zombie apocalypse (one of my client's actually added that to their vows).

Anyway, here are a few of them... I have loads more to post, so I might put up a few more pretty soon.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

Very nice.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I just came back from a business trip to Utah. It was my first trip out there and I can say this...it is a very laid back kind of place.

Yeah, I ship these things world wide. Most of them don't end up in Utah (I think the victorious couple with the pile o' bits ended up in Ireland). They've actually become a significant portion of what I do at Garden Ninja.

I got the idea from a client of mine- he asked me to do a bride and groom for his wedding, and after I posted it, I started getting attention from other couples. It just kind of snowballed from there, and now I've done tones of them.

are they scratch built or does a company actually make these minis and you just paint them?

They are not edible. What I do is take existing cake toppers (usually plastic or resin ones) and cut them up with a dremel tool, then re-sculpt large portions of them with green stuff.

Since they are all made to order, most of these match photos of clients (actually, those last three zombies each match members of the wedding party). So it isn't just adding weaponry, it also involves matching hair styles and dresses. Here and there, I sculpt a kilt, you know?

Very cool, it’s almost worth getting married just so I can have the couple surrounded by zombies on Heff’s brains cake.
