Viking hall was I think on a demo table? For Saga? Didn't realise it was for sale...

No, one of the companies there had one for sale at their stall (though it might have been used in a demo game as well).

All prepaints I have seen look like they paint the MDF then cut it. Which is fast to do (roller or spray over full planks) and gives the marks around the engraving (fake shading).

Would make sense I guess. Wonder if it is a big tray with a wash in the mdf is then laid on? Trying to think if they were the same colour front and back. Saying that I didn't notice a lack of colour on the cuts which a pre coloured sheet would have.

Re: Calling all Necromunda players - Deadzone Kickstarter
This looks to be excellent timing from Mantic.
I’ll bet there are a lot of Necromunda players fed up at the specialist games fiasco who will be only too happy to support a sci-fi skirmish game. Looks like there is a lot of crossover potential with the scenery and miniatures too.
I think part of the issue with Necromunda and Mordheim was that the gangs were mostly humans in different “costumes”. So most of the 40K and Fantasy races were missing from it. This looks to include the major armies from their universe with the potential of more being added. So a bit more diversity hopefully.

While true for Necromunda (which made sense, as it is set on a human hive world), that's not true for Mordheim. Pretty much every race in WFB (including some that have never had a WFB army) has had an official Warband at one time or another (Ogres and CDs are onces that haven't that come to mind).spubbbba wrote:I think part of the issue with Necromunda and Mordheim was that the gangs were mostly humans in different “costumes”. As far as I can see the only WHFB armies that GW produced models to make a warband equivalent with were: The Empire, Vampire Counts, Chaos warriors, Beastmen, Skaven and Dwarfs. Though there are gangs that don’t have armies in WHFB too.Darkson wrote:While true for Necromunda (which made sense, as it is set on a human hive world), that's not true for Mordheim. That means missing are Wood Elves, High Elves, Dark Elves, Tomb Kings, Orcs and Goblins, Brettonians, Ogres, Lizardmen and Daemons. Plus Chaos Dwarfs but they
Some of these are represented in Mordheim like Ogres and elves and I remember there being various extra gangs in journals and fanatic magazine. Are there the equivalent of NAF sanctioned teams in Mordheim for some of those missing armies?

Re: Calling all Necromunda players - Deadzone Kickstarter
Orcs I believe are still official, at least last time I looked (been a while, as I had all the stuff downloaded). They were in the same supplement as the dwarfs.
Elves (all types) and lizzies all had official lists, though some of them never made it past experimental before GW pulled the plugs on the mags.
Tomb Kings had their own setting, that was published over 2 or 3 issues of Town Cryer.
Brets were in a mag but that might have been a fan one.
Daemons weren't a separate army at the time, iirc, so not surprising they didn't have a list (and it wouldn't have made much sense even if it was), nor was Ogres while I think about it. And when Mordheim was out, Chaos Dwarfs weren't an "offical" army either.
They all have fan ones that were never published of course.

Re: Calling all Necromunda players - Deadzone Kickstarter
Getting back on topic, just short of $500k, with 16 days left.
The Strike Team level is looking like a bargain, even if you don't ever use the Deadzone rules.
Going to try and work out a way to pledge, as I definetly need to get in on this.

I'm in at strike team level as well, with the "lotsa plastic scenery" add on.
Total bargain.

Last 48 hours. In for a 2x Strike team with a mate. Wish I had more, as I'd pledge for scenery to.

In for strike team plus some odd bits. Thinking of getting on the booster bundle bogof deal, even though I only want one of every mini.

Over $1,000,000 pledged.
Seeing all this cool stuff makes me really wish that I was still playing Necromunda and could justify putting into this...
