Blood...Polo?

Well I am at work and bored again. So started thinking about all the different versions of bloodbowl (icehockey, basketball, football all have versions and more) and I though there is space the for a new varient.... Polo

So it would be 4 aside. Each team would have 4 players and the animals they are riding on. Plus a bench of however many. Probably 4.

Teams -

Araby - ride on Camels or elephants.
Chaos - Horse or Juggernauts
Humans - Horse or steam tank type thing
Elf - Horse or Deer
Goblins - Pogo, squig, spider or Wolves
Orcs - Wolves or Boar
Skaven - Doomflayer or Doomwheel
Amazons - Horse or Unicorn
Dwarf - Deathroller or Killdozer
Skinks - Terradon or Steggadon
Snotlings - Trolls,Ogres or Pump Wagon
Dark Elf - Horse or Cold one

Now we have our teams and mounts, who wants to write some rules for this awesome idea

Don't forget Khorne. Heralds on a Juggernaut are a perfect fit for Blood Polo.

I was happy with Chaos representing Khorne or any other god for now, though like bloodbowl I guess extra teams could be added over time

Also Secret Weapons seems like a no brainer here, since most people will be wielding hammers anyway I think chainsaws are also a must.

Possibly more fun than deciding on mounts, would be figuring out what each race would use as a "mallet".

I can just imagine a goblin, riding around on a wolf, waving a chainsaw...

I really like this idea. There could be something workable from this. I've played a bit of bicycle polo, which is awesome fun, and probably includes about as much mayhem (which makes me think of a Gnome team with motorbikes...)
Initial thoughts ruleswise include:

• Squares for the pitch, a la BB
• Each player takes up two squares longwise (i.e a "head" and a "tail" section)
• "Hits" to the head could be harder to make but have greater effect than hits to the tail
• Stats to include things like:
  • Speed (how far you can move)
  • Maneuverability (how easily you can turn - possibly a roll to try to make each turn through 90 degrees, perhaps with modifiers to use less speed?)
  • Hitting power of some sort
  • Toughness of some sort
  • Ball "handling" - possibly used to pass, move with, or tackle the ball

stats are for riders and mounts.

so same as bloodbowl. Take humans -

Rider
Ma,St,Ag,Av, - n/a, 3, 3, 8

Horse
Ma, St, Ag, Av - 8, 3, 3, 8

That would be a good starting point. But some of the animals could obviously attack, like wolves, Boar, Cold Ones etc... so when blocking both them and the rider could attack and so on. Horses wouldn't be able to. Though they are still covered in armour.

Would be good if people could be knocked off their ride and trampled on too.

I think mounts and weapons would be what you spending your 1,000,000 on in team creation. Each race should have multiple choices. There are a number of mounts above.

Take chaos for example, they should clearly have some type of massive Hammer as one option like this -
