A Little Planet of the Apes fun.

Got a great idea and/or proposal for BloodBowl?

You've got a Lizardman team, how about an Ape-man team:

0-12 Human Slaves (40k) 6 3 3 7
0-4 Chimps (80k) 8 2 3 7 Dodge, Catch, Leap
0-4 Baboons (80k) 7 3 3 7 Dodge, Leap, Claws
0-4 Orangatans (100k) 5 4 3 7 Pass, Stand Firm, Big Hands
0-4 Gorillas (120k) 6 5 2 7 Mighty Blow, Stand Firm, Thick Skull TRAIT: Bonehead

Just a preliminary idea; What do you think?!?!?!?!

Make all players (except the humans) available twice and it looks much better. Some skills should also dissapear. Basic idea actually pretty cool.
I'll give it a go
0-12 Humans(40) 6 3 3 7
0-4 Baboons(80) Claws, Jump up 7 2 3 7
0-2 Chimps(100) Dodge, Catch 7 3 3 7
0-1 Gorilla(150) Mighty blow, Thick skull, Big hand, Leader 6 5 2 8
0-2 Orangatangs(120) 5 4 2 7 Big hand, Thick skull, Guard
Difficult to get mini's though.

Reminds me of a MTG gorilla deck I once put together for a laugh.

They should get their own secret weapon - Banana Peel! They could place it in a square, then an opponent would have to roll under their AG or something not to slip and fall

The MLAF league has a Simian team that they allow you to play in league play. The stats are at:
http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/La ... imian.html

They use Mandrill, Monkey, Orangutan, and Gorilla for the player slots.

Gorillas with a ST of 4? I'm no Jane Goodall, but I'd think a ST of 5 is more suitable for a Gorilla. Intersting team, but not really Planet of the Apes style. Just having fun with it anyways. Thanks for the replies.

Here's a revised version of the Apes; with help from this board and BBC.

0-12 Human Slaves (40k) 6 3 3 7
0-4 Chimps (90k) 8 3 3 7 Dodge, Catch [AG,Gen]
0-4 Gorillas (140k) 6 5 2 8 Mighty Blow, Thick Skull, Stand Firm TRAIT: Bonehead [ST, Gen]
0-2 Orangatangs (130k) 5 4 2 7 Big Hands, Strong Arm [Pass,Gen]
REROLLS: 60k
Allies: Treemen
Apothecary: 50k

Still need to come up with some Banana based SECRET WEAPON.

Should the orangatangs be agility 4 and strength 2 instead of vice versa? Seems weird to have an agility 2 passer.

Good point; maybe give back the PASS skill to the Orang's or switch attributes to 5 3 3 7. Just hard to picture an Orang being the same strength as a human.

tommy:
Know a little about primates thanks to my wife who work in the Animal Science field. An Orangutan can snap a man's arm in half with one simple grab (this was confirmed when one broke my cousin's arm while on military duty in the Phillipines. Also there is no way the team (even a fun roster) should have 4 ST 5 players on it. Also Orangutans are not at all clumsy so AG 3 would be more appropriate than AG 2, finally with the incredible reach of the Orangutan you have to go with the MLAF's Tackle skill so try this roster out for the team instead (its still mostly yours (if you agree) I'll post it on my web site with your name as team creator.

0-12 Human Slaves 6/3/3/7 None Gen 40,000
0-4 Chimps 8/3/3/7 Dodge, Catch Gen, Ag 80,000
0-4 Orangutan 5/4/3/7 Big Hand, Strong Arm, Tackle Gen, ST, Pass 100,000
0-2 Gorilla 5/5/2/8 Mighty Blow, Thick Skull, Stand Firm, Bonehead Gen, ST 110,000

The rest of it would be as you listed. I ran this team through the GW BB team discount calculator and the team discount came out to be 60,000 which is perfectly in line with a standard GW team.

Why not? THe Khemri has it, and they are official...

Seriously talking, I agree that 4 players with ST 5 _and_ 4 players with Catch & Dodge seems a little too much!
I like the last version with 2 Gorillas though.

As a side note, Hakan.

Dirt on the street has it that the BBRC will be "doing some changes" to the Khemri roster in the final "approved" 4th edition. So we'll just have to wait and see what they do.

Just wish they would accept my fixes for the Vampire and Lizardmen teams while they are at it.
