The Lustria Croakers’ loss to the Reikland Reavers in Blood Bowl XIX represents the greatest achievement of Slann athletics. Unfortunately, most of the Croakers were either killed or seriously injured in that final match, and the team disbanded soon afterward. Quetzal Leap was one of the few survivors, having had the good fortune of being knocked unconscious during the first drive of the game. Quetzal, though one of the youngest Croakers, led the team in receptions, touchdowns, interceptions, and paces rushed in every game that season, and many fans felt that Lustria could have won the Blood Bowl if he had just awakened before the end of the match. Quetzal believed these stories more than most, so when the rest of the Slann withdrew to the deepest jungles, he refused to retire with them. Instead, Quetzal made himself available to play for the upstart Lizardmen, in the hopes of another chance at the Blood Bowl. Twenty years on, Quetzal is still frantically switching teams, playing for the reptiles or the recently returned Slann, in the hopes of qualifying for the big tournament. But while his hands are as sure and his legs are as springlike as ever, a second chance at the Bloodweiser Trophy continues to evade poor Quetzal Leap.
