Roxanna ‘the sleek fox’ Darknail is a graduate from the Naggaroth young ladies finishing school. An institution known to bring forth women who not only look extremely sharp in high heels but who also know how to put their sharpened high heels into use. Although some prefer them blunt (the young ladies, not the poor guy rolling in pain on the floor for being too smart). When Roxanna Darknail entered the Blood Bowl pitch, the community was immediately fascinated by her, after rushing 1255 paces, scoring 46 TD and causing 14 CAS during her rookie season, even as a player. Since then, Roxanna is a player in high demand, but she only accepts offers that guarantees her playing time, since she’s been through a couple of rather disappointing engagements. Of course, there is nothing wrong with being gorgeous and worshipped, in fact she’s gaining a lot of self-esteem from that and makes every man pay dearly who dares not to stutter in her presence. But then there are times when those blundering idiots really get on her nerves (why can’t men think of anything else but sending flowers and chocolate? As a Dark Elf, she hates flowers, and she can’t have the chocolate because she has to watch her waist-line). As a result, Roxanna tends to flee the men’s world occasionally and seeks refuge in all Amazon teams. Every woman needs a break from time to time and there’s nothing more relaxing than ganging up with other women and having a laugh about those poor fools who are lining up to buy them a cocktail.

Roxanna Darknail was raised in a household that was cruel even by Dark Elf standards. Though elven society is less chauvinist than others, Roxanna’s father constantly bemoaned his lack of a male heir and made her the scapegoat for all of the family’s problems. As soon as she was of age, Roxanna left home to join the cult of the Witch Elves. She quickly rose through the ranks, though there was talk that she might actually be too committed to the bloodletting required in Witch Elf rituals, especially as her choice of victim was uniformly male. Eventually, the masculine population of Naggaroth was notably depleted by the ceaseless bloodbaths that Roxanna was organizing. When birth rates began to be affected, it was clear that the Dark Elf high council had to intercede.

Allowed to remain a member of the Witch Elf cult, but forbidden from taking part in ritual sacrifices, Roxanna was forced to turn to the only place where killing is never frowned upon and testosterone is in abundance. On the Blood Bowl field, the vicious she-Elf was not only allowed, but actively encouraged, to slay as many men as she could get her hands on. She quickly became a crowd favorite, and a large contingent of female fans began attending any match in which Roxanna was participating. Recognizing the vicarious thrills she was providing the fans, Roxanna soon took steps to allow them to actually join in the bloodshed, making sure to throw at least one opposing player into the stands each match. Roxanna still couldn’t control her murderous impulses, however, and was cut from one team after another for attacking her teammates. Never having found the home or the acceptance she longed for, Roxanna Darknail must console herself with the life of a journeyman footballer. Though she never knows which team she’ll play for on any given night, she can count on at least eleven victims with nowhere to run.

Hello everyone.

I didn't want to write another Witch Elf's background, so I went for something different. Maybe it is a little long, but aomething tells me that this character is going to be very famous and used.

I hope you all like it, and sorry if my English writing is not that good as it should.

Roxanna’s life started in a very usual way for an amazon, but developed in a very hard and nasty way.

She was born in an Amzon tribe in North Lustria. Hers was a small community, lead by her mother, who raised her as a warrior princess, capable of defending herself and her tribe from invaders, specially male ones, as is usual in the Amazons belief.

Her mother taught her that the best way of defeating an enemy, apart from tearing his head out, was remembering every day all the grudges you could have against him, and all those things he had done to you, and this way you’ll be ready enough, and you’ll feel enough hate to defeat him, or at least, to fight until your last breath.

For 12 years, Roxanna developed her martial arts along with her hatred and disdain for the male ones. It’s commonly known that Amazons hate males, but, Roxanna’s need to make her mother proud made her despise them even more than all the rest of her sisters, and that’s where their worst days came from, because, along with that disdain came underestimation, and meant the tribe’s doom.

The day she turned 13, she was sent in a hunting task in the jungle. That day there would be a party to celebrate it, and her prey would be the main course.

She could see the smoke column a few hours later. A chill run down her spine. There was fire in the village.

She run, she run as she haven’t run before, but it was late. Unbeknownst to the Amazons, those seemingly stupid and not very smart male slaves had been setting up a rebellion under their noses, and took advantage of the party preparations to catch them off-guard. They attacked slowly first, and, when most of the sentinels had been taken down, they attacked Roxanna’s mother’s house.

When Roxanna got there, there was a pandemonium happening there. She hid in some bushes to find a clear way of attacking, but the only thing she could see was how those male slaves were raping, killing, and torturing her tribe. She spent more than an hour watching, just watching, as her mother taught her, so she could remember what happened that day, and then, she couldn’t wait anymore, and attacked. It didn’t matter that they had the advantage of the number, because she counted with the element of surprise and her rage. She killed more than 20 slaves before falling down. The slaves were so afraid of her, that she was beaten to (they thought) death, and then left her body in the jungle so the animals eat her.

But Roxanna was far from dead. There was still a spark of life in her, and that spark allowed her to find the strengths to walk far into the jungle and disappear. For months, she survived in the jungle, feeding on animals and plants, and spending every night, as her mother told her, remembering every moment and detail she saw that day……and those memories finally drive her mad. She couldn’t discern between dreams, memories or realities and, still, as her mother told her, she kept on hunting those who had hurted her.

For three years, there was a legend, told in the tribes living in that part of the jungle, about a ghost woman who hunted males from the trees, and leaving females untouched. It was then when the Dark Elf came there.

An expedition from a Witch Elf temple that was looking for some plants and animals for their potions arrived to the place where Roxanna’s tribe lived and camped there. The problems started when one their explorers (a male elf) was found decapitated. The two Witches that lead the party, after smelling the blood, and watching the carnage, got into one of their frenzied trances. They had visions of death and slaughter, and Khaine granted them the vision of their enemy, and what a great pleasure gave them knowing that it was one of their own….a woman.

They chased her and finally caught her. Roxanna was a good fighter, but one thing was hunting pigmies, and another one fighting two trained Witch Elf, even though one of them lost an eye, and the other one lost two fingers by Roxanna’s bites. She was taken to the Witches’ temple so they could sacrifice such a great specimen to their twisted god, but the Great Witch saw something in her, and, even though she wasn’t an elf, she was accepted as a “student” of sorts.

Three years later, after a training and things that would have killed anyone, she was as skilled and charming as any of the other Witches, and loved a slaughter as much as or more than any of them. But she had a problem, and it was that her demented mind couldn’t allow her to follow any orders and, as it did with her mother’s advice, has twisted the Witches’ teachings. She was only interested in testing herself, in showing off, and thus, she was totally useless in the Dark Elf’s wars (where precision was needed), but again, the Great Witch saw potential in her for Blood Bowl.

There was a point of no return in Roxanna’s mind when she saw herself in the pitch. SO many males cheering and shouting at her, so many males she could hurt…..It took her long to learn that there was some importance in scoring, but her jumps, kicks, and gore granted her the crowd’s approval (even when her team lost the game). She was so dangerous that even the crowd run away from her if she was ever pushed into the public.

Roxanna reached her current status as Blood Bowl Star the game when he took her fallen Witch comrade’s tiara (who had been stomped by an ogre), wore it, and then, after wetting her nails in the fallen Witch’s dark blood, killed two of the opposing team’s players shouting “MY NAME’S ROXANNA DARKNAIL!!!!”, when one of them asked “Who is that crazy chick?”

In game, Roxanna wears a very light equipment so she can jump and run according to his fighting….sorry, playing style, and mixes some bone accessories (remembering her Amazon heritage) with spikes and that famous tiara (what remembers the rest of people her Dark Elf training….just in case they forgot).

I should have mentioned that earlier but the "sleek fox", "young lady finishing school" and the "and after doing this and that after first season...even as a player", are informations I found on Galak's homepage, (wherever that is now).
I can't remember from which source that information came and if stories have to be true to it.
