It seems to me like I'd be 10k short for that?

If you are talking about what Ian is suggesting, then no you would be just right as taking block away from a lineman and giving dodge to a blitzer are both normal skill choices.

I would agree about 2 Blodging Blitzers. It will keep consistency because her blitzers will have the same skills and she won't have to remember which of her lineman has block. (Not trying to sound like she is stupid, I just know when I go to my first tournament I am going to be nervous as hell and the less things I have to remember that are not normal the better)

Even for more experienced coaches, simpler skills are better I find.

At any rate, I like Ian's options. I've tried many different combinations with Dark Elves, and I have found that loading-up with Dodge and Wrestle/Block does better than using more specialist skills. Your players stay on the pitch a lot more, and you can reposition much easier on defence. Instead of attacking the ball carrier in his cage (which is hard to do properly for a newbie), stay in front of your opponent and stall him until he has to take a risk to score.

Although this is tougher with High Elves as they start with much less block and no dodge skill at all.

I would personnally not take Accurate on the thrower but take block, wrestle or dodge on a Blitzer or Catcher. Probably Block on a Catcher.

The option I presented (with the extra skills) only allows 1 Blitzer. You could go down a TRR instead, and that would give you an extra skill.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.
