TV110k Underworld + inducements

Post by Vinz D. »

Troll @ $110k
Nobbla Blackwart @ $130k
2 Stormvermin @ $180k
2 Throwers @ $140k
2 Linerats @ $100k
4 Underworld Goblins @ $160k
3 Re-Rolls @ $210k
1 Bribe @ $50k (the reduced price for bribes for Underworld teams was included in the LRB6, right?)
1 Assistant Coach @ $10k
1 Cheerleader @ $10k

I have recently begun Underworld in my league and due to my Goblin team being FAR from finished, I decided to try them out in a TV110k incl. inducements tournament. (Big fan of Nobbla)... Would this be a feasible setup?

What skills are recommended? After each round, 2 randomly elected players get a skill and after the third round, one of these may be a double. Starplayers can't get skills.

Bribes are 100k for underworld

Troll - Claw first, then Guard. Block on doubles.

Blitzers - either Mighty Blow then Claw or Guard then Stand Firm. Dodge on doubles.
Line Rats - wrestle then tackle. Dodge on doubles.
Throwers - leader, kick, block. Dodge on doubles.
Goblins - two heads. Followed by big hand, horns, sneaky git. Doubles wrestle, strip ball, sure hands, dirty player.

Hmmm, it indeed appeared to be the case that the only ones getting a reduction on the bribes are Goblins. In that case, I'd propably go for:

Troll
2 Skaven Blitzers
2 Skaven Throwers
2 Skaven Linemen
4 Underworld Goblins
Nobbla
Bomber
3 Re-Rolls
1 Cheerleader

I expect some high-AV teams, so with the inducements allowed, Nobbla is the one critter appears to be a (very) effective addition to the team. Plus that I just like the model itself.

Thank you for the suggestion with the skills by the way. Very usefull. :)

13 players, two of them SWs? I think you'd be better off with more gobbos so you've some depth in the line.

I'd take the chainsaw, not the bomber.

3 RRs is enough, but you definatly want a big bench. Either from ejected players who foul (hey, that's what gobbos do), or from casualties.

I've used this roster on the Lutece:

2 SV
2 Thr
1 Troll
11 gobbos
3 RRs
1 ass-coach
1 cheerleader.

I took the gobbos because we were supposed to play quite "stunty". Hindsight: I would stand a better chance with 2 skaven linos, no staff, and still 9 gobbos.

You need that Str 3 now and then to make some blocks, otherwise you are spending 3 players just to get a 2d block in your favour. So take the skaven linemen on defense, sub them for the throwers.

If you can choose skills, go for 2 heads on as many goblins as you can. Double ? block on the troll.

That's what I would do, but Im not to keen on inducements and all that...
