Spiky Vamps

Post by Darkson »

As it's now 99.9% certain I can attend Spiky, couple of questions:

1. Anyone got a Vamp team they can lend me?

2. Roster - any advise? I haven't really played them TT (I did play them in the MBBl for a while, but that was years ago).
Had a rough playtest the other day, and took

Wilhem
Vamp (Block, Dodge)
Vamp (Block, Pro)
10 Thralls (iirc), one with Block or Wrestle (had one with DP, but since realised that was cheating - to many skills)
3 RR
And whatevers left (if anything) on FF, AC and CL.

Not expecting to be in contention, and really to spend most of the weekend near (or at!) the bottom, but depending on the number of stunty teams present, keeping out of the Dungeon would be a success.

Well I wouldn't take Wilhelm. And you need rerolls, and lots of them. Play to your ... I was going to say strengths, but there is only one so ... strengths: HypnoGaze.

4 Vamps (Block, Dodge, Dodge+Guard).
12 Thralls
4 Rerolls

Keep it simple....

whilhelm is a waste when you can blodge up vamps

pro is rubbish

not really done the numbers as to what you can fit in the team regarding skills, though I would take at least 4 if not 5 rerolls

hypnotic gaze is your friend

Darkson, I am just finishing up a Strigoi themed Vampire team. I was inspired by the pics from Dungeonbowl as well as Don Vito's nice looking team.

If you still need to borrow a team, I can lend you one. I have all the Vamp Team related Stars as well.

Cheers Dave, I'll let you know.

Possibly taking Moody's Amazons, as he thinks he'll be using Nurgle, but when he finally decides, I'll let you know.

How do you afford that roster?

I'd favour:

4 Vampires (dodge, pro, block+dodge, surehands+dodge)
9 Thralls
4 Re-rolls

4 Vampires is a must in tournaments. This one is pretty cool because you can make a cadre of dodge vampires and throw in some utility skills too.
