TV110 Vampires

Post by Xod »

Tomorrow, I'm going to a tourney with 11(!) games in a row, the 24h. Yes, I know, it crazy :)

And I'm planning to take vampires.

My roster:

4 vampires
11 thralls
3 RR
1 FF

The skill system is like this:

After each round (before you know your next opponent) you may assign a normal skill to a player of your choice.

After round 1 stunty teams are allowed to assign a 'double' skill instead of a normal skill to a player of their choice. Stunty teams are Goblins, Halflings, Ogres, Underworld and all-Skink (+Krox).
After round 4 you may assign a 'double' skill instead of a normal skill to a player of your choice.
After round 6 you may assign a normal skill to a player who has already been assigned a skill. This is the only opportunity to stack a skill.
After round 8 you may assign a 'double' skill instead of a normal skill to a player of your choice.

So I would take these skills after each game:
1. Thrall - Kick (not sure about this too, more tempted to take sure hands, since I don't have the 4 rerolls yet)
2. Vampire - Dodge
3. Vampire - Block
4. Thrall - Leader (double)
5. Thrall - Dirty Player
6. Vampire - Dodge (stacking, on the one with block already)
7. Vampire - Guard
8. Vampire - Dodge
9. Thrall - Wrestle
10. Thrall - Wrestle

I know, it's probably better dropping 2 thralls and taking that fourth reroll. But I want the extra guys, to either have enough players (or snacks) on the pitch or to foul a lot :)

Any suggestions?

Grtz,
Xod

Forget all about Kick, it's just not worth it. Especially not since you're playing such a slow team. Dodge on Vampires should be your priority, keeps them alive and mobile.

Something like...

1. Vampire - Dodge
2. Vampire - Block
3. Vampire - Dodge
4. Thrall - Leader
5. Vampire - Dodge
6. Vampire - Dodge
7. Thrall - Block / Wrestle
8. Thrall - Guard (?)
9. Thrall - Block / Wrestle
10. Thrall Block / Wrestle

See you tomorrow 8)

Seems like a reasonable roster. I'd probably mixup the skills (well, the order) a little though...

1. Vampire - Block (one block is nice)
2. Vampire - Dodge
3. Vampire - Dodge
4. Thrall - Leader (double)
5. Vampire - Pro (your hypnogaze and general cool dude)
6. Vampire - Dodge (stacking, on the one with block already)
7. Thrall - Kick
8. Thrall - Guard (double, if you fancy it)
9. Thrall - Wrestle
10. Thrall - Wrestle

The kick thrall is pretty useful but sadly skilled vampires ought to take priority. A frenzy thrall is alot of fun too... if you take it as skill choice number nine or ten then you ought to be able to catch a few people out with hypnosurfs (hypnogaze one of the widezone players then frenzy surf the other one) because they wont be expecting it, especially after so much BB.
