NAF Championships - Skaven

Post by shaniepoo »

Ok, ive never played with Skaven and have decided to paint up the models i had in my bitz box and take them to the NAF Championships. I have all the possitionals but no ROgre (might be able to bang one together if needs be). My main question is 'Do i need a thrower?'. Im looking to take 4 Gutters and am tossing around the idea of not taking a thrower and taking another Re-roll instead. Is it worth taking a Thrower when i have 4 AG4 players on the field?

Also, is it worth me banging together a ROgre and taking it?

Thrower is good for two things:

1) Carrying Leader. With skills not front loaded, that is less useful.
2) Protecting against Wardancers with Strip Ball.

Thrower provides 2 extra rerolls: surehands and pass. Even if it's a quick pass to a GR the skill is very useful.

So by taking leader on a thrower i can get the extra player and the re-roll.

What about the ROgre? Ive seen them work wonders and also hit the deck and spend the rest of the game there.
