I would take Guard on the Big Guys, Horns on the Dark Elf (Main Ballhunter) and for the Marauder's Block.

Add 3-5 rerolls for the ball handling and play save to avoid early turnovers. Its not bad, if ur Big Guys just stand around and assists the Marauders.

Chaos Ogre -> Guard
Minotaur -> Guard
Chaos Troll -> Guard
Dark Elf Renegade -> Horns
Marauder -> Block

I have played chaos pact on tournament and it was great fun.

I would go for
Leader on marauder
Dodge on elf (he is your ball carrier and is lot more reliable with dodge)
Guard on troll
Guard on ogre
Pilling on on Minotaur (He is your casualty machine)

2 RR's (you have a leader RR)

You will have enough budget to field a good roster.

Good luck and lot's of fun!!!!

I will be playing pact at Vault Bowl in October for the fisrt time.

Love Pact. Great looking team on paper but having played them in a few friendlies, for every beautiful game there seems to be 3 or 4 nighmares :D . But when they work is GREAT!!

The skills are theree singles and one double skill day one no stacking. Three singles day two no stacking.

Claws on the minotaur tuens him into a terrifying blitzer I think

Other than that not too sure at this stage.

I did think about leader as re-rolls are tight because of the cost of the big guys.

Possible;

Day 1
Mino - claws - nasty blitzer
Marauder - leader - for the extra re-roll
dark elf - leap/dodge/sprint/ - cage breaker? or dodging away, running it in
Troll - guard - helps rest of team

Day 2
ogre - guard - helps rest of team
marauder- block - boring but usefull
marauder - block - boring but usefull

please let me know your thoughts.

It seems a shame to wate the mutations on the marauders....

I like Big Hand on the Goblin. Combine it with Kick on a Marauder and Strong Arm on the Ogre and you can pin opposition players in the back field with the threat of a flying goblin, while using three Big Guys to batter players left on the front line.

At GertBowl I took the above plus leader, tackle Marauders and Juggernaut on the Minotaur.

Had more of a think about this now;

Day 1
Mino - claws - sorry but love this
Marauder - leader
dark elf - dodge or sure hands
Ogre - piling on

Day 2
Troll - guard
goblin - two heads
skaven - sprint

I'd go block on the mino, but claws might be good too. I'd prefer block though.
Guard on the Ogre, you want him to be usefull.
Troll doesnt 'need' a skill, he's there as a roadblock and should 'fill' the back end of the cage, of you go for that. Taking up 1 space is fine too, as long as he is in the way.

Dodge on the DElf! for sure. You will very likely pick up the ball with that ag4 anyway, but dodge will let him go places and save his ass. You soudl cage him deep enough not to worry too much about strip-ballers...

goblin: he's an extra. if any skill he should have 2 heads.

I like playing with the skave, he's my mobile sweeper/nuisance. He gets wrestle to either pop a ball loose or bring down nasty blitzer types. I am a fan of MA7. Too bad h's only AV7, but your opponent will have a lot to bash anyway, IF he plays that game. You should, or can, outbash most teams with 3 x STR 5, and some guard. You have movement, but not enough... that's why I like the skaven. Besides, I like to have the whole gang with that team.
Pact is about a ragtag bunch of gys, you can take some different players, why not take them all! :)

you need 3 rerolls, either 2 and a leader or 3 'real' ones.

block mino,
guard ogre,
dodge elf,
leader marauder or wrestle skaven (if you go for 2 rerolls).

guard troll,
2 heads goblin,
pff... whatever. guard? Claw? horns? on am marauder.

something like that...

TV 115?

3 rerolls,
all BGs,
all renegades,
6 marauders,
1 apo,
3 FF (or something similar).

Hi there,

I finished 3-0-3 over my first weekend with them.

The tournament I played at allowed me to take 1 double and three single skills day 1 and three single skills day 2.

In the end I took,

Day 1
Mino - claws (game 1)
Marauder - leader (game 1)
dark elf - dodge or sure hands (game 2)
Ogre - guard (game 3)

Day 2
goblin - two heads (game 4)
Troll - guard (game 5)
skaven - sprint (Game 6)

If you cant take a double I would still probably skill the Mino but give him jugg.

The goblin was brilliant with two heads. The marauder with leader was a must to get the third re-roll.

I'd go with block on the mino, if you want to use the double for that. Either that or guard, that way if he goes wild, he's still usefull.

Why using your double on the mino? He's got just AV 8.

Last tourney with pact i went with Block on the ogre (double), dodge on elf, guard on troll, one leader and 2 mighty marauders. Block works always, while claw is wasted against elves, skaven, amazons, stunties....

Managed a 3-0-3 and 21 casualties for me, tied with the most casualties trophy winner. If only i had caused another casualty on that furry skaven....

I consider mino a great blitzer, but a double skill on him is wasted. Easy to injure him, or easy to take him far from action because of his frenzy, or easy to tie with a zombie/lineman.

Just my point of view.

Well the mino does benefit from horns and frenzy so it is pretty easy to get him 6 dice. Block makes him a lot more reliable and more likely to knock opposing players over.

Of course if you’re going to risk your blitz on him them juggernaut is an option leaving the double open to give the ogre block. This has the added advanatage that block makes the ogre or troll a better roadblock.

I agree ... I'd move the doubles for Block on the Ogre and use a normal to but Juggernaut on the Minotaur as if you use the Mino he will likely be 3 dice blitzing hopefully.
