I've just been to two tournaments in a row that orcs won. At the second one, the 3rd-place finisher (a very good coach, in my approximation) was saying that from now on he should only take orcs, as they are so easy to win with. I told him that undead, which he had been playing, are usually considered a better team, and he was surprised.
They still look pretty loaded to me, and I agree with Matt that their numbers undoubtedly suffer from being so popular with rookies.
Are really orcs that bad in tourneys?

Undead are very good. But the best team to play against undead are surely orcs.
If I play Orcs and get paired with undead I'm VERY happy.
(on the other end Amazons and Lizard are very difficult games)

Why Rolex?
I often find Undead to be quite difficult with 2 str 5, as well as up to 4 Ghouls...

Because Orcs are the best team both to knock down mummies, since they both have guard and ST 4, and to tie them up, with AV 9 spam.
Only lizardmen with guard sauri might be better.
When mummies go down, undead offense is in big trouble.
When mummies are tied up/isolated, undead defence is in big trouble.
I would give block to a BOB, 3 guards (2 to 2 BOBs) and 1 tackle/frenzy to a blitzer and a MB.
In a league it gets worse. Undead get 4 guards (their max without doubles), Orcs get 9.
