First skill on an Orc Lineman, and it's a double
Hi chaps,
My Orcs have rolled another Double - on a Lineman this time.
I'm wondering whether it's worth taking Guard on a player without Block, or whether he'll get knocked down too easily. What do you think?
I've already got Guard on 2 Blitzers (and a Strength increase on another). My Black Orcs and other Linemen don't have any skills yet.
My remaining games will be against Slann, Orcs, Goblins, Chaos Dwarves and Norse (but not necessarily in that order).

Always Guard. The only other ones worth considering if you're feeling squirrelly would be Diving Tackle (place him on a goblin, gutter runner etc..) or Leader for a cheap re-roll.

Guard.... Your opponent must break Av9, or the guard will simply rise to be a pita again....

If you like the style of play can give him sneaky git for opportunistic fouling.

Cheers, guys. I'll go with the consensus and take Guard.

Guard for the arguments made and because it's a skill you can only counter by breaking the armour.
I can hardly think about any other skill that is so much by a lineman. His first duty is to be exerting tackle zones and lending assists (or making the foul if skilless or has DP).
Guard lets you lend block assist all the time while on you feet.
Sure you would like to have it complemented by block, dodge, standfirm or side-step but all these skills are double annoying if paired with guard, which is your first double skill ever.
Even if the lineman dies before he gets to dodge, he will have helped the team numerous times.
