Dark Elves or Norse for Dutch Open, need some help! TV 1100

Post by JaM »

Hi all,

I am considering 2 teams for the upcoming Dutch Open in Amsterdam. Rules: TV 1100, 1 skill after each game. No player may recieve more than 1 skill, no stars, etc. etc. Either Dark Elves, or Norse. I havent played either team in a tournament, but did play DE in a league. A bit. But that will not stop me though...

Rosters:

Norse:

2 RRs
1 apo
5 linemen
2 runners
2 werewolfs
1 thrower
1 snowtroll

idea: taking block on both wolves, and MB on the troll. Perhaps sure hands later on the thrower.

Dark Elves:
2 RRs
1 apo
4 blitzers
1 runner
1 witch
5 lineelfs

Skills: block on a witch, dodge on some blitzers, leader on a runner.

Any help will be appreciated! :)

JaM

I play Dark Elves with the same roster, but prefr Wrestle for the Witch. Leader should be the fourth skill unless you bump into Dwarfs/Chaosdwarfs early

don't take the thrower for norses...

I always go with: 2 bersekers, 2 werewolfls, yeti and one runner. Taking Guard (bersek), Block (WereW), MB yeti if doble isn't allowed and dodge on the runner.

From DE

WE one with Block one with Wrestle, the rest ok. Some people uses dodge on the runner, but I never did it.

2 RRs
1 apo
5 linemen
2 runners
2 werewolfs
1 thrower
1 snowtroll
11+apo for norse at TV110 is way too short
you need definitly more reserve
all best norses coachs i know (simon_acp, willem, ...) play with at least 13-men (or 12+apo) roster

Did the numbers, searched for models,... Norses it will be.

1 runner
1 snowtroll
2 werewolves
2 blitzers
6 linemen
2 rerolls
1 apo

Thanks! :) Team Warp will be on the field again, this time as Norse instead of Humans. I'll have to see if I can find a picture...

Thanks Traveller! I knew they were... somewhere! Although they were Humans back then. :)

Went with Norse, took 2 x block on the wolves and 2 x guard on the beserkers.
Could have done with sure hands on the runner, it seemed... but then I would have missed the guard! choices choices...

Claws didnt really help --> either throwing too low or too high (if that makes any sense). Never used the Dauntless, also. Used the apo once I think, in 5 games.
Went undefeated until the last round, lost that game, came in 2nd place.

Loads of fun actually, you can throw a LOT of locks. And, as long as your opponent doesnt remove your players (or, if they come back from the KO-box, grumble grumble) it's a nice team to play. More movement than the CDwarfs, a bit more reliable too it feels. Even the frenzy wasnt that 'bad'. Yeah, nice team. :)

Again, thanks for all the advise given here. :) .

Cheers,

JaM
