khemri skills

Post by fire olli »

OK thinking of using khemri, I know stupid idea but I like the team.

Anyway what combination would you have the following skills.

5 normal and 2 double.

At TV 1000:

2 TG w/ Block
2 TG w/ Guard
1 T w/ Leader
1 T w/ Block
2 B w/ Tackle
3 S

2 Doubles are Tomb Guards with Block. No-brainer.

Giving the other TG's Guard is also a solid move.

2x Tackle is overkill. I'd go Tackle on one Blitz-Ra and MB on the other.

Your fifth normal skill has some interesting options. Block on a Thro-Ra is a solid choice, although you really, really, REALLY need to protect them, so if they're getting hit in the first place you're doing something wrong. Leader depends on your cash situation, if you can field a significantly better team by cutting a reroll and buying Players instead, that's an option. I've gone to tournaments with a Dirty Player skeleton but never felt like I got my money's worth out of it. Kick is interesting at tournaments but again, I've never managed to have it affect more than maybe every other game. YMMV.

I was thinking kick off return so I can cover the ball against AG teams.

i would consider a "fouling" roster, with a big bench, and the chainsaw
4 TG (block, block, guard, guard)
2 thrower
2 blitzers (guard, - )
1 chainsaw
5 skel (wrestle, wrestle, -)
2 RR
2 FF
4 TG (block, block, guard, guard)
2 thrower
1 blitzer (guard )
1 chainsaw
7 skel (wrestle, wrestle, -)
2 RR
3 FF
else, Setekh is a nice choice (very good 3rd blitzer), but for an only 12-men roster
4 TG (block, block, guard, guard)
2 thrower (block, -)
2 blitzers (guard, mighty blow)
1 setekh
3 skel
2 RR
never tried the elf-runner, but why not (it would allow to take less thrower, i think)
4 TG (block, block, guard, guard)
1 runner
2 blitzers (tackle, mighty blow)
4 skel (wrestle, - )
3 RR
4 TG (block, block, guard, guard)
1 runner
1 thrower (leader)
2 blitzers (tackle, mighty blow)
4 skel
2 RR

2 Rerolls is pretty adventurous in my experience. Most of the team doesn't have block, and even if you're not rolling many d6 for ball handling, sometimes you just have to roll those go for its.

On any Khemri tournament roster with 2 Rerolls, I'd try to take Leader on a Thro-Ra. Even before Block.

Cheers for the help.

Yes 3 RE rolls is probably the way to go so leader might be the better option.

1 B
1 T w/ Leader
1 T w/ Block
3 Skeletons
Setekh

4x TG (2x Block, 2x Mighty Blow)
2 Blitz Ra (Tackle, Frenzy or Mighty Blow)
2 Thro-Ra
4 Skeletons (1x Dirty Player)

Sinnedbad (very good for his price)

´3 RR

Guard is not needed in this team - needed is punch though - the block-tg should give the assists to the mb-ones. dirty player is quite good on this team. Setekh leads to 2rr, but is very good on its own so this may depend on personal preference (like everything in life actually does^^)

OK I went with :

2 x TG with block
2 x TG with MB
2 x blitz ra MB
1 x thrower leader
1 x thrower
3 x skeleton
1 x setek.
2 RE rolls.

Day

Lost 1-0 to undead, second half pitch invasion put 5 of my guys on the floor and none of his, I struggled to recover.

Lost 2-0 to Amazon. Again pitch invasion put 5 guys down and none of his. Some crazy dice rolls which was too much for the khemri.

Draw 2-2 to necromantic, went 2-0 down due to long bombs and 5 up dodging. With 6 turns left the khemri put their skates on and with a lot of go for its got the draw, quite impressive for the old bones.

So after a bad first day I am praying he second day will bring better fortune.
