No rerolls at all, Pedda? And what about the use of Sneaky Git?

Why Deeproot over Bertha?

Just the rerolls you get from the chef.
You've got inbuilt rerolls for dodging and should just make three die blocks with the trees.
Sure, turnovers will happen, but I've made it work.

Sneaky Git, why would you take that skill?
If you're fouling, you're fouling with friends, so the risk of not breaking armour shouldn't be that high, which makes the skill useless.
I'd rather have side step or diving tackle, for positioning (but not basing players).

I haven't tried Bertha, but she doesn't have block which means I probably wouldn't put her on the LOS.
That means that I'll have to put a 'fling on the LOS, which means that I'll be a man down from turn 1 (or 9).
I'd rather have the wall of trees with Deeproot in the middle. Good luck getting through that line (a square apart between the trees) and the side step 'flings in the widezones. That's how I play defense with the 'flings.

Sure Bertha is nice, but I don't really see her purpose. Will you use her as a ball carrier?
A blitzer? (I use Puggy for blitzing). Cage breaker? (Puggy can do that)
Also, her bonehead can really mess you up. She's not a bad choice, not just what I'd go for.
