1st tourney -1150 elves.

Hi all, I'm after a sanity check please!

1150 Elves:

4 Catchers
2 Blitzers
2 Throwers
4 Linos
2 rerolls
Apo.

12 men and and apo to try reduce how badly outnumbered I get.

Other thought was extra reroll but losing either apo or 12th man.

Am i missing a trick anywhere?

I'd describe myself as 'ok' (definately not as good as many I've seen play) but inexperienced with elves. Wondering if I should take the safety net of the extra reroll but I imagine I'll get outbashed by paper bags so probably need to mitigate that as much as possible?

Roster seems fine, although 4 Catchers, good as they are, might be more than you need. You can also save some money by rolling with one thrower.

Do you get skills? If not, with zero Dodge and only two Blockers in your team, you'll probably need at least 3 rerolls.

Disclaimer: I objectively suck with Pro Elves at tournaments, see the graphic in my sig ;)

Doh.. forgot about skill pack.

It's 2 normals for game 1 and 3. A double for 2 and 4. No stacking.

Thinking to dodge the Blitzers first for blodgestep.
Not sure the double is worth taking with such low skills to start? Tempted to stick with normal for game 2 and dodge a catcher?

Lack of a tackle concerns me too so maybe on one of the Blitzers instead of dodge?

4 Catchers is for speed. In my few league games with elves (only 2 catchers to start) I found they feel a bit slow relying on so much Mv6 so wanted all 4 faster positional for sure.

That's not a lot of skills for high elves.

I'd rather give a catcher wrestle than tackle on a blitzer.

What about
2 Blitzers (Dodge (3), Mighty Blow (2))
3 Catchers (Wrestle (1), Dodge (1), Dodge (3))
6 Linemen (Guard (4)
3 Rerolls
Apo
1 FF

They are not likely to be pro with me coaching them so call em whatever you want!

I'm not going with any expectations so won't worry too muc but don't want a rubbish roster (no, woodies aren't an option..) as an excuse if (for "if" see "when") I struggle! :D

I definitely need to give some more thought to skill choices. Wrestle on a catcher definately sounds like a plan. Not sure why it slipped my mind when getting a wrodge catcher is my highest priority in my league team. With so few skills available, anyone want to sell me on taking the double for game 2. Can see merit of both Guard and MB but with so little basic skills is it really worth it?

Sorry. I don't know why I read high elves...
Pro Elves/Elven Union/Elves is a better choice, if you ask me.

Well, I'd go with the following;
2 Blitzers ; Dodge (2), Dodge (3)
3 Catchers; Wrestle (1), Dodge (1), Dodge (3)
6 Linemen
1 Thrower
3 Rerolls
Apo

I don't take the double with pro elves as they need so many skills (IMHO) to work well.
The corner stones are the blodgesteppers, but I don't think it's wise to go for them for game 1 as you'd be putting all your eggs in one basket.

Do take my advice with a pinch of salt as I've just played pro elves in one tournament.
