Am I right in thinking this rulespack gives you 1.1 m (adds up to those players + 3 RR, above) to spend?

The thing with the Chaney gambit is that he leaves you undermanned and maybe a little underpowered elsewhere. I can see why some coaches go that way, but I'd rather believe in the Vampires and have more players to cover for the inevitable Thrall exodus. I think I'd go for something like:

4 x Vampires (Dodge, Dodge, Block, Wrestle*),
10 x Thralls (Leader, Wrestle, Wrestle / Tackle / Sure Hands to taste),
Apo,
3 x RR.
(This assumes I can do maths, but I think this = 1.1 m)

You could perhaps trade two Thralls for another RR and use the double elsewhere, but doubles aren't particularly helpful to Vampires outside of Leader, really.

*A Wrestle Vampire is a risk, but you need a guy to pop the ball or make a hole. Just ensure you manage his Bloodlust really closely.

The cool thing about Chaney is that it leaves alot more skills for the other players.

I personally hate playing unskills players with av 7. A couple of block ofr the thralls whould help alot in my book.

I'd also just point out that Leader on a thrall is a risk. That makes for a player that you'll not want to bite with a vampire until you've used the Leader RR in H2, which makes him a liability. You want as many of the thralls to be acceptable to be bitten.
