I like the idea about the highest ranked team. However, if in any possible way, Austria's gonna make it, we'll have to discuss if we would be able to find a proper location. (Some of you guys know our club, but it's to small to host the Eurobowl.)
So basically it's a +1 from Austria.

Officially we think it's a great idea! (highest placed nation which has not hosted EB before gets to be host)

I like the idea, too. I'm afraid, though, we have a similar problem than Austria. We don't have any BB clubs at all. There are probably 1-2 small leagues running somewhere in the country. And I'm not sure either if everyone could afford a weekend in Switzerland. But it will take another 20 years anyway (after all other nations have hosted an Eurobowl) until it's our turn to host it anyway. :D

So that's a +1 from Switzerland.

a country doesn't have to host it if they don't want too, or there isn't anyone who is prepared to put the work in to do it ;]

Hmmm, not exactly sure what you mean.
1.) we have bb clubs in austria - the guys you know play in a 18-20man league each year
2.) we host schnitzelbowl, so we do know a little about organizing a tourney (ok, eurobowl size would be quite a challenge)

too bad I can't be at EB this year

maybe schnitzelbowl I+II location, but I guess we could manage to find something - we never had to look for this size so far
