No replys no :/
But I can send you the names and you can try yourself?
Maybe it´s better if it´s someone who doesn´t just tell about the thread?

What? There is a EuroBowl in Copenhagen? Does that mean the Danes won it last?
What? There is a Eurobowl in 2012? I thought it was every four years.

That's about how updated I am.

Putting together a team of eight Swedes might be doable in 1.5 years time. Failing that, a "Team Wastelands" (a collaboration between Sweden, Norway and Finland; anything north of the host nation) would stand much better chance of forming.

I will be watching this thread. As Thadrin correctly guessed though, I am much uncertain myself. Umeå is further away from Copenhagen than Basel in Switzerland is.

But still a hell of a lot closer than Umeå is to Basel ;)
So this is your big chance :)

Sadly though, both are two flights away. I can get somewhere a lot warmer than either by taking two flights. :D

Topper you don't know much about sweden, its a 5 hour trainride from stockholm to copenhagen ! and it is Farming expensive to get from arlanda (the airport "close" to stockholm) and to the railways station.

Assuming I'm chosen for my team, then I'm planning on taking the train down to Copenhagen.
Six hours for me (about 60km north of Stockholm). Cheaper, easier, better for the environment than flying...and, all told, not much slower.

That may be true, but that is still quicker than getting to Copenhagen from England, Spain, France, Germany, Italy etc ... (as we have to get to the airport too).

If I only lived in Stockholm. It's 12 hours on the night train to get to the capital. ;) But let's not derail here, shall we? har har har.

There doesn't even appear to be a direct Uppsala to Umeå train...you'd be on a Bus to Sundsvall! FFS...this country's infrastructure for travel is awful.

Hehe No I don´t.
But I have taken the train from Århus to Hestra and then further to Isaberg to ski.
I know it´s in the opposite direction of Stockholm - but still.
Five hours isn´t a long travel is it? Just think back to our travel from France to DK - without the unexpected delay...

We travelled the 23´d december last year in the middle of the snowstorm.Everything was Duck´d I tell you... No trains departing, sending us on a bus to Lund so we could wait for 5 hrs without possibilities to be inside (since we knew nothing about when the next train would leave) and when we wanted to get back the trains from Isaberg were cancelled the entire day on the 30´th...
So no - it´s not perfect :) But I assume the weather and country has a lot to do with it.

Five hours is fine...I think OK is a bit wary of the time it would take to even get to Stockholm to start the five hours.
He's pretty much stuck with a fairly hefty flight, probably changing in Stockholm, if he were to come. There MIGHT be direct flights to Malmö?

Even so, it's a fair old trip.

I'm quite happy on the train for 6 hours. I like rail travel, when the system works that is.
Pending actually getting picked etc.
