How does a nation qualify?

With trying to get team wales on the blood bowl map. What is the criteria for a team and how can that team qualify?

Am I also right in saying 8 coaches per nation?

You do not need to qualify for the eurobowl. Every country has the right to send one team.

I do not know if wales qualify for being a country (ooh, I think I hit a sensitive thing) but you have team england and team scotland so I think you just can send a team wales.

You could always follow the FIFA example and utilise some dirty tactics such as bribery, blackmail and corruption. Maybe get the next world cup to be hosted in a remote village with all the tournament specific special rules and instructions only written in Welsh.

Unlike football that sort of behaviour would be highly appropriate for a BB tournament.

FIFA rules apply to define "country", so Wales qualifies.

I think we spoke about selection of team Wales at the NAF champs podfrey. Any one who is willing to travel. Lol.

Per default it is up to the team captain of each team how to pick it´s members. For a completely new team I believe the succes criteria is "those who are willing to travel is a good start "
However team Sweden are in the same process as you trying to start a team.

I believe the rules on who can play are quite loose Andy. Recendecy counts as do Grand Parent/s.

IIRC the freebooter rule changes each year depending on who is posting and I think last year was very loose indeed but the year before was a max of two.

I think if you get to five willing to pay to go, the organisers would let you in. Once a country gets a Eurobowl under its belt the floodgates will open for more to join in team Wales.

I always thought Wales was a nation, like England, or Scotland.
The country is called United Kingdom internationally.

A national team consists of 8 coaches, who each play his own bloodbowl team throughout the tournament. The coaches have to play 8 different races from the BB team lists. At least 6 of a national team's coaches must come from the nation in question. So if you are not able to field 8 coaches from your country, we allow the use of 2 "freebooters" which preferably must have some relation to your country.

This is the bit I'm unsure of.

I was born in England. I have lived in Wales for 7 years. I qualify to represent Wales in karate but the only link I have to welsh is my uncles.

Am I a free booter or deamed welsh.

I also have coaches that have welsh parents on one side or grand parents are they deamed welsh enough.
