Team Germany Eurobowl 2012

Hi,

I have created this topic to look for players who would like to play for the German team at the Eurobowl 2012 (these players will select the team captain). After a short history of the German Eurobowl team between 2003 and 2010 I will switch to German (I assume that only Germans are interested in the discussion).

In 2003 there was no real selection process (as far as I know) – the team was more or less created randomly (whoever showed interest).
2003 (Netherlands): 2nd place (of 8?)

In 2004 the German team was almost identical to the team of 2003 (I don't know if there was any discussion about this).

In 2005 after some discussion (not always nice) two qualification tournaments were held in Germany which proved that Germans are not always good organized. After a lot of chaos six players travelled to England and the team was completed by two Italian freebooters:

Since 2006 the German team captain is selected by an election who can select his/her team members without any constraints.

In 2006 we had only one candidate for team captain: Sputnik.

In 2008 we had only one candidate for team captain: Planlos.
Because of one late drop-out the team was completed by an Italian freebooter.

In 2009 we had only one candidate for team captain: Kithor.
Once again the team was completed by an Italian freebooter.

In 2010 Flix won the election vs. Tom_Brady. Unfortunately no team could be send to France.

Overall there seems to be a slight negative trend in the standings but at least we always finished in the upper half.

Hallo,

im nächsten Jahr (20./21.10.2012) findet wieder der Eurobowl statt (dieses Mal in Kopenhagen http://www.eurobowl.eu/default.asp?p=1 ) und wie jedes Jahr brauchen wir wieder einen Kapitän der sich seine Mannschaft zusammenstellt.

Daher bitte ich alle Deutschen, die Interesse an einer Teilnahme haben sich bis zum 28.2.2012 hier oder im entsprechendem Forum auf der NAF-Seite zu melden. Bitte berücksichtigt, das Ihr vermutlich bereits Freitag anreisen und erst Montag abreisen könntet (je nach Abflugzeiten) und mit gewissen Kosten rechnen müsst (An- und Abreise, Trikot, Unterkunft und Verpflegung (für den letzten Punkt rechnet der Veranstalter z.Zt. mit 200 Euro, die Information ist aber noch nicht final)).

Danach können diese Spieler bis zum 15.3.2012 Vorschläge für den Kapitän machen (die Vorgeschlagenen müssen natürlich zustimmen) und wählen anschließend einen der Vorgeschlagenen zum Kapitän. Sollte nur ein Kandidat da sein so findet keine Wahl statt (er ist automatisch Kapitän). Ansonsten ist eine absolute Mehrheit erforderlich. Sollte nach einem ersten Wahlgang keiner der Kandidaten die absolute Mehrheit erreicht haben so findet zwischen den beiden Kandidaten mit den meisten Stimmen eine Stichwahl statt. Gibt es nur zwei Kandidaten oder ist irgendwann die Anzahl der Kandidaten auf zwei reduziert, so können die beiden sich auch einigen den Kapitänsjob gemeinsam auszuführen.

Nach der Wahl des Kapitäns kann sich dieser sein Team beliebig zusammenstellen (nicht notwendigerweise aus dem Interessentenkreis an einer Teilnahme).
