Are there any rules regarding team(race) selection? I was under the impression that each EuroBowl team had to select eight unique races but that doesn't seem to be mentioned in the rulepack. If that is the case, does that also apply to the EurOpen?

You're right, it's not clearly written in our ruleset. Sorry.

It will apply to both Eurobowl (as usual), and Eur'Open.
So:
- 8 unique rosters per country at the Eurobowl.
- 3 unique rosters per team at the Eur'Open.

Price is per person and got nothing to do with the room your in.

We will reserve 4 doubles per eurobowl team.
We have a Scottish Eurobowl and a Scottish Eur'Open team attending so 11 players in total. Our team Captain will require a single room, 5 twin rooms for the other 10 mere mortals should be fine.

Hi fellow coaches,

First of all, a big thank you for participating in such large numbers - EuroBowl and Eur’Open 2014 will be BIG. So big, in fact, that we feared for a moment we would have to cap the number of participants at 220 – which explains Driesfield’s post of last Monday.

This would be a shame though, as I’m sure you will agree. Therefore, we immediately arranged an emergency meeting with the hotel to rectify this situation. And being Belgians, we came up with a compromise.

To come straight to the point, the hotel has been so kind as to liberate some more space for us. This means it is still possible to register for EuroBowl and Eur’Open 2014 until 15 September 2014 .

As from now on, you can choose between the following options when registering:
The Full Option, as proposed originally. This costs 230 euros as before, and all arrangements for better halves & kids are still available.
The Medium Option, which costs 99 euros. This includes participation to the tournament, use of the venue, sandwich lunch on Saturday & Sunday and all exclusive tournament goodies (pitch and miniature). Sleeping accommodation and other meals are NOT included.
The Light Option, which costs 59 euros. This includes participation to the tournament, use of the venue and all exclusive tournament goodies (pitch and miniature). Sleeping accommodation and meals are NOT included.

The venue is located in the city centre, so coaches choosing the Medium or Light options shouldn’t have any trouble finding food and/or a bed nearby.
In practice, this means that 60 more tickets are available for the full option. We will regularly update the number of remaining tickets for this full option. For the moment there is no maximum on the number of possible coaches.

Astute readers wil have noticed we sneaked in a mention of the exclusive EuroBowl/Eur'Open 2014 miniature. That's right, all participants - including, of course, those taking the Full Option - will receive a unique Bloodweiser Babe!

Reminder: how to register?
Just reply to the relevant topic on TalkFantasyFootball or send an e-mail to dries.goutsmit@telenet.be. You can either register as:

EuroBowl captain, providing us with the names of the 8 coaches that will make up your country’s team and the races they will play;
Eur’Open captain, providing us with the names of the 3 coaches that will make up your team and the races they will play; or
Individual coach for the Eur’Open.

What are you waiting for? Let’s make EuroBowl/Eur’Open 2014 even bigger!

One question concerning double skills for tiers 2+3:

Does the double skill(s) have to be a double skill - or is it okay to choose another normal skill instead?

Ie.:

Tier 2: 4 normal skills + 1 ‘double’ skill => 5 normal skills
Tier 3: 3 normal skills + 2 ‘double’ skills => 4 normal skills + 1 ‘double’ skill OR 5 normal skills

It does not need to be a double. You can choose a regular skill as if it was not a double.

But you play skaven so no problem for you :D

Hello fellow coaches,

We are happy to announce that the payment details for EuroBowl/Eur’Open 2014 are finally

available. Sorry it took a bit longer than expected – our country’s love of red tape never ceases to

amaze :-p

Put concretely, payment is possible as from today and will remain open until October 15th. You can

pay:

either by transfer to

Name : VZW “Eurobowl 2014”

IBAN :BE 42 0004 2465 2054

BIC : BPOT BE B1

or

by PayPal transfer to dries.goutsmit@telenet.be . Please use the ‘I’m sending money to family or friends’ option.

Unfortunately, we cannot except cheques due to the excessive handling fees involved.

When making your payment, please mention:

• EuroBowl or Eur’Open 2014

• The names, NAF nicknames and NAF numbers of all persons you are paying for

• The chosen tournament option: Full, Medium or Light

As a reminder, you pay 230 euros for the Full option; 99 euros for the Medium option; and 59 for the

Light option.

Let’s make this the biggest Blood Bowl event of the year!

Yes because we expect that there will be only the odd stunty player in eurobowl and there has to be some competition to win an award.

We discussed and agreed on the procedure for the best painted award (which is one of the nicest trophees we ordered)

There is one trophee for the best painted team of the whole tournament (Eurobowl and Eur'open combined)

During saturday, a jury of a phew selected people will come to a consensus and will hand out 5 golden tickets for the next round. Those tickets will only be handed out to players who have painted there own mini's. We don't want to hand out a trophy for someone who can order a nice commission for a nice paint job. This is a trophy that wants to reward painters that have put in hours painting there team

Those 5 teams will be put on display on sunday between round 4 and 5. Every participant will be able to give a vote for one of these 5 teams and your voting ticket will have to be with us before round 5. There will be a box to collect all votes.

Good luck to all painters and bring your nicest paint job for us to appreciate.

Just a thought but are there any guidelines on what colours to use for which additional skills.

A lot of coaches will be using coloured rubber bands and plastic skill rings to differentiate which of their players have additional skills. Would it be easier if we standardised colours on the more common skill choices: Block, Dodge, Guard, Tackle etc.

As an initial discussion starting point I use the following convention: Block Red, Dodge Blue, Guard White, Tackle Green but I know some coaches who prefer Blue for Block and Green for Guard as they start with the same letters.

What does everybody think?

There are general rules about positionals that are accepted. They often appear on the bases. I would not go this far because not everybody got the same skill rings.
