I will have my figs done and shipped by the end of August. There will be a delay. I have a queue on my painting table. I have to finish (1) 12 Arachosian light horse 15mm for a Later Achamaenid Persian force; (2) 5 25mm Zombies; (3) 28 Later Medieval Swedish Militia 15mm; before I can begin my two miniatures.
I have trouble finding a scale and period and sticking to it, so I am forever painting random miniatures.

I use P3 paints. I went with a pretty dark purple. Plum if you like. Can't remember the name of the shade...I have a friend who uses Purple on just about everything he does, so I was using some of his paint (as we paint a lot at his place.)
I think it was their Murderous Magenta I used as the base colour.
I'll get pics as soon as I have him based.

How are those p3 paints?
I saw them at a game store last week, when I bought paints for the first time in like 12 or 13 years. I saw that P3 uses the same old pots that citadel used to use years ago. I love those pots. I still have some of the citadel colors in those pots and they are still good. I have a wood elf team that I am painting up for a tourney next month, but I didn't have any good Wood elfie colors since I usually only ever played Darkies, space wolves or orcs. I hear the new GW washes are amazing but the P3 metallics aren't that good.

I like them a lot. Most of their metals aren't the best - very very thick or very very runny - but the rest of the paints cover nicely, mix well and give good results. I've had no problems with either my Pig Iron (sorta like Boltgun metal) or Cold Steel (Mithril Silver) so I'm not so bothered. The reds in particular are WAYYYYY better than the Vallejo colours I was using before. I haven't used more than the occasional pot of GW colours for a few years now. maybe its just me, but I swear I'm getting better looking figs now than I ever did before.
I'm using them to paint Elves myself at the moment (Shadowforge's models)
They look good so far, though I'm only on base colours atm (going to colour the whole team before I move of´n to shades, highlights and details).
If nothing else, do yourself a favour and pick up their Armour wash. truly indispensible now I've started using it.

Should we have any specific painting scheme for the minis?
I'm thinking pants, jerseys, numbers, helmets etc? Stripes on pants?
I was thinking of painting my player:
- white pants with purple stripes
- purple jersey/torso with white numbers
- white on straps and edges of armour
Mine will be helmetless, so haven't given that any further thoughts.
I think it would look nice if there had been a uniformed look on this team, but I'm just a newbee on legacy teams. Or a perverted uniform fetischist
What do people think? Does it matter?
Some of you more productive people have already finished; what do you think?

Normally they only thing agreed on is the colour scheme. You cannot make more uniformity because everyone is using different models (not all official GW figs btw) Some figs will not have pants or armour etc...
When colour scheme is agreed there is enough uniformity for a legacy team. That is the charme of a legacy team. It is uniform by colourscheme and that is it.
One last important thing is that you paint your TBB nick name at the front of the fig.
