Waterbowl Legacy Team 2010 : Chaos Pact

Post by mubo »

Following the success of 2008 and 2009, there will be a legacy team at the next Waterbowl Tournament (2010).

This year, it will be Chaos Pact.

Figures will be supplied by the tournament organisers for free, all you have to do is paint one, send it back and turn up at the tournament for a chance to win the entire team! The lucky coach will be encouraged to use the team during the weekend.

Anyone and everyone are welcome to take part, but only those attending the Waterbowl will be eligible to win. If you are not the best painter, please don't be put off submitting, it's a community thing, not a competition entry...

The plan is to introduce as much variation as possible, so there will be no consistent models for the marauders, so a mixture of beastmen, daemons, humans, mutants etc. Pick a model to represent the player you wish to paint, and we will endeavor to source it (some of you may have already have a spare fig knocking around that would suit). Figs will be bought from a combination of GW, Impact, and bitzbox/similar in the case of conversions from plastics etc. Also if you plan to give your model a mutation, let us know here so we can ensure an even mix.

It's first come first served - please select which figure you'd like to paint and let me know on this thread or on the WB forum. I will keep the WB forum updated with pictures etc.

Bases should be left blank and we’ll get them all matching. Your forum alias/NAF name/real name will be put on the base using Slaters 3mm letters (so when you send your figure, please let me know which name to put on).

The Legacy Team Line up
1. Dark Elf- Jim G : Horns : In Transit
2. Skaven- Leip In Transit
3. Goblin- Matt W: 2 heads/claw (Impact). Received
4. Ogre- Shane: BitzBox Construction. Received!!

9. Marauder - Andy Grom : Mutant trouser legged Ork. Received!
10. Marauder - Mike Sann0638 : Chaos plastic marauder Received!!
11. Marauder - The Don : Mutated Maestro: In Transit
12. Marauder/Coach - Pippy Underway...
13. Marauder - Super Nashwan : Daemonette : Received!!
14. Marauder - jonnyfrostbite : Beastman Gor Received
15. Marauder - Peter L: Beastman Gor Received!!
16. Chainsaw- Pug: BitzBox Construction: Received
17. Bomber- Mr W Spoons?
Assistant Coach- Thads: Ungor. Received!!

10/19 Received.
8/19 In Transit/Promised.
1 Being Done!

Also if anyone would like to do rerolls/turns that would be great.

Colours are Green and Black, regrettably the same as the TBB legacy, but hey.

Suggestions also required for team name. Act quickly, Altered Beasts is the early favourite!

If there’s anything I’ve left out please let me know.

November, first figures are starting to roll in...

Thanks,
Nick

I just bought a box of Beastmen to build a Chaos team with. I could probably do an Ungor as an assistant coach with bits I have over.

Give me a colour scheme and I'll get it done by Eurobowl so Gav can take it back to Manc with him.

Put me down for a marauder. I think I'll either do a gor or a daemonette. I'd love to do the old Keeper of Secrets as the minotaur but I think I'd be biting off a bit too much. Great model though!!

That said...I'm only doing it Geoff isn't allowed to enter :lol:

@jonny:
Gor/deamonette would be great. One day I'm going to do a chaos team with that KOS model...

@joe
Norseman is grand, but you're free to choose any fig you like the look of and we'll get it for you. I'm doing the impact mantis, just becuase I like it, but won't ever get it into one of my teams.

@MattW
Cheers! But as above, we can get you a fig.

@Thads
Great, we should have colours by end of week.

@People doing marauders:
let me know if there's any fig you'd like to do in particular, otherwise I'll just pick up a selection. Any ideas welcome, even if you're not painting...

Any ideas on:
-Colours?
-What models for the big guys?
-Other marauder figs

I'll do the Minotaur leaping if you wish. Had a few ideas for conversion on that one.

I'd be happy to make a mutated chaos marauder in the same style as the team I did for the PooBowl this year (If anyone remembers it?). Magnetic mutations, I'd be happy to do a multifunctional mutated marauder with almost everything if needed!

Sorry Pug, Geoff got there first...
You ok to do a chainsaw star? Or any other star that takes your fancy?

I've reassigned Mr Git to a cheerleader and given Pippy the head coach, so the Don can do his mutatastic marauder.

And I think that's it... so 19 people in all.
One more could possibly do a turn/reroll counter.

@The people doing marauders/head coach/cheerleader:
If anyone has an interesting idea/fig, let me know and I'll try to get it for you.

@People doing big guys:
Let me know which model you'd like to do.
