If I recall correctly, the base of the skin is reaper master series Pale Olive (I love this color), a few very thin layers, then darken shadows with a touch of RMS Swamp green added to the Pale Olive- a few successively darker mixes the deeper it goes.

That coach has been on my mind- I might have to paint an orc team for myself with that skin tone & purple uniforms.
So you go base color, then shadow? What about highlights?

Also: what do you use for the base and which manufacturer did this mini?

Fred
Often for very light things I'll paint 'down' not 'up'. start with white primer, many very thin layers to work down the shade to darker shadows, drop shadows into target areas, wet blend back to the mid & high tones when needed, remove any wash shadows that stay on top highlight areas with a wet brush. If need highlights still after (and I think I did) then add them with the Pale Olive & bit of Menoth White from P3 paints, or other 'offwhite/linen' color, but not pure white.

the base is from Gale Force 9. I use bases like that pretty often, just not very often for Blood Bowl: they're cheap which is nice, but best is, the vertical edge instead of bevel gives you 2 mm more surface area across the top. Sometimes minis need that extra room so they don't have as much overhanging feet- this guy needed that.

I did a review of them (alongside other base types) here:

Thanks Pitch Invader!

Unfortunatley, a lot of the techniques you mentionned are a bit above my level, but I'll se what I can try!

I dont have time to do another mini right now.

People should get 1 chance of winner for every model they contribute.

I have no spare orcs lying around anymore (they headed to ebay a while back) I'm checking with Sann0638 what he has spare, but otherwise I don't think I'm going to be getting anything else painted in time for the competition close.

I'm still willing to commit to doing another Blitzer or Black Orc if we don't have enough for a playable team once the draw is done, and get a model shipped directly to them.

Cheers,
Spiky

Thanks for the offer, but according to the answers I got, Both Brage and Shanipoo are supposed to contribute.

Wedge has changed from a second thrower to a blitzer.

So if nothing changes, we are in need of 1 lineman, 1 extra goblin, 1 extra thrower and apparently the apoth might not make it.

Anything that suits you?

@Spiky: anything above that interests you?
